Maybe it's the day that worked best for them, who knows. He shouldn't have to live his life around days significant to a man who's been dead for over 30 years. And since he actually knew John and the rest of us didn't, I don't think any of us here has a right to criticize him for it.

And even if I did, that's how we roll on these boards. They were partying all summer in the Hamptons, there were a zillion different days I'm sure they were free. The day before. I thought (which wasn't a critical thought) that he had chosen it on purpose to honor John. And according to crazy cousin Barbara, the first toast was to John. I actually thought it was a sweet thing to do. And even though he's been dead for 30 years, the man is probably not far from Paul's mind. So I personally would probably not choose a day like that for my marriage unless it DID have a warm meaning. Shrug. Heh, Yoko is the only one who apparently didn't go. Ringo, Olivia and Dhanni did. And I guess no Julian? All I know is that the guy has aged amazingly well. He looks better now than he did for his 2002 wedding. And his concert this summer was fantastic. I saw his brother - poor guy did not get the cute, stay looking young forever, genes.

I think his face is starting to show its age, and he's admitted to coloring his hair. He definitely has a youthful spirit though. Hopefully he lives a nice long life, because our house will be a very sad one when he dies.

True, but let's face it, many of us would like to look that good nearly a year before their 70th birthday which is what Paul will be next year. I give him a pass on the hair coloring since others (Mick Jagger, Ron Wood, Ozzy Osbourne) are doing it as well. I guess he doesn't want to go the Jimmy Page/Brian May route and go completely grey yet.

I just remembered how some fans were all pissed off that Paul went to the Kennedy Center Honors even though it took place on the anniversary of John's death. THEY were definitely acting like Paul doing anything celebratory on that day was an affront to John's memory.

I just thought there may have been something to that date (the birthday) that made him choose it. In a good way. I think a lot of people these days are marrying so that someone you trust can pull the plug. Not that he doesn't trust his kids, but it's still not the same as telling your partner exactly how you want it to play out should the situation arise. Hey, I started coloring my hair when I was 30 (to cover gray). I think he looks amazing still with dark hair. Yeah, it's an older face, but he looks good. Ringo also looks good. Although he never takes off those dumb glasses long enough to see what is under there.

I was shocked when I found out she is 51. I saw the footage of them yesterday and thought for sure she was about 30. Of course the Daily Mail had to out her; apparently she had some work done...at least a nose job. I have heard the local media outlets say that she is an heiress to a trucking company. I also know that she is on the board for the NYC area MTA, so obviously she has some serious money of her own. Nothing shows a stamp of approval more than having your stepdaughter design your wedding gown. Anyway, congratulations to them. They deserve it. ETA: Beatrice was in attendance. I wonder who had escorted her there, assuming of course that her psycho hosebeast mother wasn't invited. ETA2: The press kept pointing out that Paul and Nancy have no prenup. I thought that prenups aren't even valid in the UK (which of course became a problem when the union with Heather broke down).

Beatrice arrived with Paul and Nancy, and didn't seem thrilled to be there from video I saw. I worry Heather's poisoning her mind!

Yeah, I heard that too. The spouses can agree to one, but the judge will throw it out. Supposedly that's why Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones got legally married in the US--to preserve the right to have a binding pre-nup. Then they followed it up with a showier event that was not legally binding in Wales, where she's from.

I know Stella designed Nancy's gown, but was she at the wedding? I haven't heard or seen any evidence that she was in attendance. Maybe she's camera shy? Also, Baba Wawa can barely contain her lady boner at being Music Legend adjacent. Jesus Tap Dancing Christ lady. Take it down a notch. I thought she was going to cream her pants-suit this morning.
