Not sure if I'd agree that Theron hasn't done much. After winning the Oscar, she was nominated again for Best Actress only two years later and got quite some award nominations last year for Young Adult. I have no clue what Hunt has been up to since her win in the 90s but maybe I'm just following Charlize's career more closely

IMHO Marion Cotillard has the best post Oscar career in recent history.


As for Jessica, she will definately win an Oscar at some point if not this year. I can see her pulling off a win against JLaw though. If she wins SAG then I'd say the Oscar is hers too.

I really think it depends on the actress as to whether its a kiss of death or not. Winslet has been nominated several times and she's not really known for big budget projects. As mentioned above both Theron & Cotillard are doing ok. I'd say Gwyneth & Halle's careers have been more lacklustre but most of their movies are misses for me.

I know this sounds weird but I kept thinking if Ron Howard and Julia Roberts procreated, their spawn would look just like Jessica Chastain..

I feel like nothing she wears ever fits. Her Globe dress was too big, this is too small. And I remember a lot of too tight dresses from last year's award season too.

She was fine in ZDT. But that's it. It's weird to me that she's even nominated because I don't think she does much.
