The Tom Hardy doppelganger is apparently Logan Marshall Green. They could be twins! Though Logan looks from his publicity stills to be more conventionally pretty than Hardy's jolie-laide. |

I know Ridley Scott said it ISN'T part of the Alien franchise but that trailer pretty much states otherwise.

My guess is that the threat is the Space Jockeys who were killed before the first "Alien", thus fulfilling the Scott/Lindelof denials that it's a whateverquel but has the DNA thread of the franchise.
