It was entirely shot in 3D rather than being a crappy postconversion.
I'm trying to find out if there are any IMAX 3D theaters nearby.
Maybe, maybe not. It's actively hilarious how much Ridley & Lindelof have changed the 'is it or isn't it a prequel' answer.
I've been avoiding TV ads and recent US trailers like mad after hearing how much more spoilery they are.
Studio marketers are the ABSOLUTE WORST, you guys.

Reviews are out and the general consensus is that, while the effects are absolutely breathtaking, something is lacking story wise. Most reviews I've seen pretty much say the same thing, it's good, but it could have been so much better. Mchael Fassbender's David is seen as a real highlight.
