Doing a full-scale tour that centers all her music hits was certainly a miscalculation. Her catalogue of hit singles is not as extensive (or as memorable/iconic) as Madonna's or Janet Jackson's. I mean, I wanna say that, at most, Jlo has had...what, 7, 8, 9 big hits? While the above mentioned women, who can sustain concert tours, have had over thirty big hits each and hundreds of millions of records sold. Not to mention that, despite people like Madonna having pop culture influence that goes beyond music, she still is best known for being a singer. Jlo has had iconic several iconic pop culture moments but none of those had had anything to do directly with her music (her infamous green dress "wardrobe malfunction," the whole Bennifer thing, the Movieline interview). At the end of the day, Jlo's "main gig" is being an actress (some would say it's not even that lol). And how many people can remember the names of any of her hits, outside of Jenny from the Block?

My favorite of her songs was On The Floor, which is bad because I feel like that's more a Pitbull song than a J.Lo song.

"Throwing on my Louby-tonz". Only because I always imagined how the company must have shuddered at her pronunciation.

"Jenny From the Block" with Ben make another (literal) kiss ass appearance? That's good for four minutes of a 90-minute show.
She's a triple non-threat, ikmccall.

And how many people can remember the names of any of her hits, outside of Jenny from the Block? *raises hand nervously* Guilty as charged...(Odd that you mention JFTB, when that song is not the biggest hit she's ever had. Not even close. THat "honor" belongs to the 5-weeks-at-# 1-on-the-Billboard-Hot-100 "If You Had My Love." (1999) My favorite of her songs was On The Floor, which is bad because I feel like that's more a Pitbull song than a J.Lo song. ...and it also heavily samples Kaoma's gigantic 1986 hit "Chorando Se Foi" (better known as 'that Lambada song') which was pretty much stolen from a Bolivian group called Los Kjarka (and no, Jlo did not steal it; Kaoma did, and they were successfully sued by Los Kjarka) www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H3QwNrk_WU

I'm fond of "No Me Ames", her duet with Marc Anthony. Thanks Spanish class!

I saw her Vegas residency show. It was fantastic. She should have done that again.

I love lots of her early stuff! She was the bomb in the aughts! Everyone wanted her hair colour, including me. I have irrational love for Play — I still love the video and her moves in it. Makes me wanna go clubbing and dance my heart out.

I think ticket prices have just gone too insane. How many of us can afford it? There's been a lot of artists with terrible sales recently and I think it can't all be because they are flopping.
I've been to two concerts this year and I'm probably at my limit. And I'm lucky to live in a city where concerts are held. If I had to travel, get a hotel etc, it wouldn't be happening.
Not that I'd particularly go to a JLo concert, but I think she's big enough that a lot of people if they saw she was coming to play would think "Oh, that might be a fun night, I like some of her songs, why don't we check it out". And if the tickets were reasonable they might go. I might even go, have a few drinks and dance my ass off.
But I'm willing to pay 50/60, maybe 70, with booking fee, but not 250/300.
(And I have no idea how much tickets where for her show, but I have noticed a lot more people aren't selling out as ticket prices have gone up).
