Her failed marriage to Marc has everything to do with the fact that he was her rebound after Ben Affleck. I actually think that her penchant for jumping from man to man is more than not wanting to be alone, although that is a big part of it. I think that it is about ego and wanting to save face when her exes get involved with other women. She never wants to seem as if she is pining for them alone, so she jumps into another relationship to show the public and press that she is desirable and not alone pining for her ex. I think her marriage to Marc was totally about that.
The last thing she wanted to do was see Ben move on with another woman (which men always do very quickly after they break up with a woman) and be alone. So, she saved face by jumping into a relationship with Marc who should have stayed her friend. He was convenient. He was around, worshipped her and would help her save face after the Ben Fiasco.
Since the media is hard on women after they experience a break up (calling them lonely etc, such as what they do constantly to Jen Aniston), Jlo, who has a huge ego, made sure that she was hooked up with someone since she knew that Ben would move on. Marc was on standby, so she married him.
This is exactly what she is doing with Casper and what she did with Chris Judd. Both of them are standby, in-between men who allow her to save face and appear desirable after her break-ups (with Marc in the case of Casper and with Diddy, in the case of Judd).
She should stop "dating" standby men for the public and to save face. This is her downfall: her huge ego and the fact that she cares what the public thinks, regardless of what she says.

But that's what she does luthia, jumps from one man to another. She cheated on Joani with Diddy and left him, cheated on Diddy with Criss Judd and left Diddy for him, cheated on Criss wih Ben and left Criss for him. She tried damn hard to get Ben down the altar, but he made sure she left him. One she did, she waited .05 seconds to get involved with Marc while he was still married and then married him 5 days after his divorce was final. Little after she separated with Marc she gets involved with Casper. This woman does not know how to be alone for God's sake! Some people are just like that, different strokes for different folks. Doesn't bother me. Some people are stars because they have talent, some people are stars because they work their asses off, some people are stars because they have both. I think JLo has an internationally known face and is willing to work hard to keep herself relevant. It bothers me when they have kids. Kids need stability, as well as quality AND quantity time, and running into new relationships is always jarring for them. Mix in a super busy career, and I just don't know how she manages to be with them. Maybe she's just spending more time with Fuggy when Marc has the kids? I hope so. I just always got a total "trophy kids" vibe from her. That said, I actually don't dislike her. She spent money like water, and was falling off the radar. She booked everything under the sun and got herself back. And she looks fantastic. I do admire that kind of dedication.

I randomly heard "Love Don't Cost a Thing" on the radio last week for the first time since it was released and it reminded me what a weak singer she was. It was before the trend of processing vocals heavily, and her natural voice is just really thin and weak. Her poor voice was really apparent in "If You Had My Love." I remember hearing it and being shocked that it was released as her first single because the singing was so bad.

I've never understood why celebrities (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, etc., etc.) who don't have great voices want to release albums. Are they deaf?

Are they deaf? She thinks she sounds more than great. Once on extra or access hollywood or something, she hsd the nerve to tell the story that she sang for Marc's bday and she sang some Barbara Streisand and that her performance was so good that he cried. Then she said that from that moment she was singer, a true singer and no one would make her think otherwise, because she knows she's a natural born singer. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using ProBoards

I remember that Barbra Streisand quote. She is so delusional about the level of her talent. She has beer goggles on her ears. We all hear a reed thin, off key screeching, and she hears Maria Callas.

Is that some kind of voice dysmorphic disorder?

I think they were more "trophy kids" but then again, I know plenty of moms who have kids like that, where the nanny is more of a caregiver than the parents.

Yeah, but even that recording over ten years ago was Protooled up the yin yang to get her on pitch. This is probably a pretty good example of how she sounds without protools getting her on pitch. I believe that nowadays, when singing "live" these non-singers either sing along to their own pre-recorded (protooled) voice, or there is some kind of live protooling going on. Anyway, that performance shows what her voice really sounds like-even though she's still getting a lot of help from her backup singers. ETA: I just listened to that clip again and she may even be singing along to her own pre-recorded track as well. I think I hear a faint voice behind her. And she still sounds like shit. SMH.

What's funny is that during promotion for her albums, she or her producers always claim that her voice has improved since the last album. Lol
