She's the Pussycat Doll who announced a couple of months ago that she was quitting the group to go solo. Yeah, I know - I had no idea just looking at the name who the hell she was either.

I don't know. I have a feeling she's going to blow up on the R n B scene. I don't see why not. She's got as much going for her as a lot of female artists out now.

She was also in the short-lived band Eden's Crush. Remember them? Am I the only one with their CD. Well, probably but to my benefit I got it free from a friend who's a music reviewer and did not pay for it.

Think back long before American Idol. Back in 99 or 2000, the WB ran a show called Popstars and in the first season they formed a girl group called Eden's Crush. Nicole was the main singer of the group and their big "hit" was "Get Over Yourself". It was an odd show. From what I recall, Taryn Manning auditioned along with the trashy girl with brightly colored hair from the first season of American Idol.

I don't really follow the Pussycat Dolls but considering that she's already had one near miss with Eden's Crush, I personally think she should stick with the dolls for another year or so. She does not want to pull a musical version of David Caruso.

I'm loving the song though. It's all sorts of contagious. I'd definately buy this when it comes out.

She was pretty much a solo artist already with the PCD, I swear she was the only one that did anything in that group. I don't remember any of the other girls singing at all.

I liked a couple songs from PCD. And she's really pretty.

Personally I can't see her being much without the Pussycat Dolls- the only reason she looks so hot/talented etc is in comparison to their backing dancer asses. And without being ageist, she's too old to be making the type of juvenile club music she'll inevitably churning out- a la J-Lo.

She does have really nice hair.

ETA:I looked it up on the Wiki and she's only 28. I don't see a problem with her age. She's got 2 years till she's 30 and she can evolve and change style then. She's still got a bit of time. I can understand what your saying about JLo but she is 38 - ten years older than Nicole. Beyonce is 24 and that's just 4 years younger. And Bey does irritate me because she's still doing stuff you would have expected of her when she was 18.

Not trying to sound like a rabid Nicole defender. I just like the song and think it will be a smash - especially in the clubs.

And I also covet her hair. I think it would be fair if she and not Beyonce the weave wearer was on my TV screen trying to sell me hair products. I'd definately buy if I could have hair anything like hers.

I hate the Pussycat Dolls. HATE them. Hate their skanky vidoes where all they do is poledance and writh behind her. Hate their hoodies over the head style. Hate their faux-gangsta posing. Manufactured pop at its worst, although I think that Nicole's jumping ship way too soon. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, chickie.
