Quality indeed..
I feel the need to say I saw him first as Kim Hyde on Aussie Soap Home and Away shown here in Ireland since the 80s. Said Aussie soap also gave the world Heath Ledger. The other one Neighbours gave the world Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce and Margot Robbie. Aussie soaps the gift that keeps giving!

Chris Hemsworth 'Taking Time Off'Well this is rather disheartening news. Chris recently discovered that has inherited two copies of a gene which makes him 8-10 times more likely to develop Alzheimer's Disease. His grandfather currently has it. He will be taking some time off from working to devote to his family and I imagine, consulting with a shit ton of doctors to determine the best course of action for him. I imagine he must be going through all sorts of feelings to be told you have a greater chance of developing this horrifying disease at some point but it's not certain whether he will or not. His grandfather having it is definitely a negative in many ways.

As someone who had a father with Alzheimer's (diagnosed at 70), I hope it was caught in time to help stop the progression of this insidious disease. I wish him the very best and I'm glad he's taking time off to prioritize his health.

MrF’s father and uncle both died of Alzheimer. He is showing early symptoms, but refuses to see a doctor. He says they can’t do anything. I think he’s afraid of a diagnosis. (He’s 70…)
