I've been defending him and rooting for him for a long time, as people called his interviews cringe-worthy and called him an overeager puppy, but he's outdoing himself. All I can do is laugh at him now. And the pictures of him riding in her private jet and being chauffeured around by her driver from her house to the gym, it's not a good look. Have some dignity and take a cab, Tom. |

You know, it's been a pretty awful week, so I'm going to thank Tom for the hilarity of dropping the reserved classy thespian act and just going full famewhore. I truly laughed out loud when I saw the underwear pictures on ONTD. Good job, dude.

I think he's trying to make himself more interesting. I saw "The Night Manager" and though I liked it, I thought TH was a bit boring, dull, bland, like Wonder Bread. |

He so desperately wants to have Cumberbatch's and Redmayne's careers and is probably wondering why he hasn't got there yet. When the news about him and Swift broke, I was somehow not surprised at all. He'd do anything now. |

The internal giggle I always felt when I saw pics and read interviews with him (classy! thoughtful! self-depricating!) have now been replaced with an eye-roll.

All true, I'm afraid. I'm personally mourning my former crush on him. I think I would feel less gross if he was dating, like, Pippa Middleton or even Katie Price (aka Jordan). Taylor Swift, who I have nothing against as I don't generally pay her much attention, seems like a talented, attractive girl who pulls a lot of these relationship stunts so she's practically a professional dater (not whore, didn't say whore). I always thought he was better than that - maybe I'm just mourning how wrong I was.

I really didn't know who he was before he was linked to Taylor Swift (who, admittedly, I can't stand). I've never seen any of his movies and I don't read any of the stories about him on Celebitchy or Daily Mail, etc. I heard he was up for Bond and couldn't picture it, but I knew he had a big fanbase so I assumed he was just one of those celebrities I just didn't "get" and moved on.
But I saw the W photo shoot and now I'm paying attention. Between Taylor and this, I'm cringing. This is SO awkward. And I totally agree with Michael K's take on the photos.

I think it's interesting mostly since it seems like a change in PR strategy? Perhaps he feels he needs to force things more now since some of his peers have arguably established better careers (Fassbender, Redmayne, Cumberbatch, McAvoy, Hardy etc.)?
