Another annoying facet of this sort of thing is now people consider themselves very savvy about Hollywood and tabloid culture, so whenever their idol dates someone, it's always a big publicity sham. I mean really - Benedict Cumberbatch got married and brought a child into the world just to slightly boost his chances of edging out Eddie Redmayne in their Oscar campaigns?  Actually, the hardcore stans insist he didn't have a baby, that the whole thing was faked. They're currently rubbing their hands with glee because it's coming up on 42 days since the birth, and 42 days is the limit for registering a birth. There's seriously a hundred posts with, like, step-by-step screencap instructions on how to order a copy of a birth certificate from the UK Registrar Office. |

They're still saying it was a fake wedding because there were no banns published, despite being told a zillion times that a common licence (which would not be public) would eliminate the need for banns. I'm sure they are acting like they know English law with the same degree of expertise as Amal Clooney but I wouldn't be surprised if Benedict is able to go about his baby paperwork without them finding it. |

In the UK you need the baby's name to be able to search birth records (at least this early, you do), so they're convinced the only reason they haven't made the kid's name public is all part of a plot to prevent anyone from discovering that there is no birth certificate and thus no baby. But wait if there wasn't a baby then there wouldn't be a name, would there? Unless they're carting around a Tiny Tears doll, or a bag of flour with a bow stuck to it.
Topic? I remember reading a fandom wank entry about TH being erroneously reported as married, years ago when he was first starting to become famous. Even then people were going bonkers. When I went to see Coriolanus (having no more interest in him than any of the other cast members, and in some cases less - Mark Gatiss ftw!) the fan situation outside - fans who hadn't been to see seen the play - was genuinely the most intense and scary theatre situation I've ever seen.
I do quite like the odd comment going, "Ooh they look soooo in love and I heard she's pregnant and they're getting married and have met each others' parents!" Mainly because it's so mad trollish.

Jesus, these people are bonkers. I know I had my celeb crushes that I couldn't stop thinking about, but oh wait, I was ten years old. I got over it. What's the over/under that most of these posters are 20 or older?
OT: I like them together. She is actually really talented, imo and seems chill and I enjoy him as well. They look cute together.
