I don't think she's trolling (I used to). I think she dresses in what makes her feel pretty, regardless of if it's fashionable or flattering. Lena Dunham seems to be the type of person who would not conform to all conventions of Hollywood red carpet dress. For better or for worse, she does her. I like the hair.

Her skin is looking fab. I think that hair color/makeup combo is a little harsh, but for the red carpet she looks fun. I agree about the top, though.

Lena looks all out of proportion as usual, and the hair is a tragedy. When I first saw her blonde in her ALS challenge video, I realized she was a dead ringer for Mel Smith in "The Princess Bride" which is quite an accomplishment since I imagine Mel needed hours in the make-up chair to end up looking so tragic.
And yet to Lena, it comes so naturally.

Eh, I don't know - I sometimes really think her "thing" is being contrarian in her wardrobe choices, because every single damn thing she puts on her body is unflattering as hell and ill-fitting and that has to be deliberate. I've seen her look good when she's styled by someone else for photo shoots and whatnot, so it isn't impossible for her to look good. I'm kind of over it. It feels so "Look at me! I'm DIFFERENT!" to me.
I have always hated the "Tootie" haircut on anybody, but I honestly don't think her hair looks too bad there.

kostgard, I think you've nailed it with unflattering and illfitting.

It made a statement though - "I've got taste for shit".

Well, you need to weigh about 90 pounds to pull off all that material around the waist. And you need to be Tori Spelling and bleach out your brows to have that color hair.
I think she knows very well what attention she'll get. But I also think she sort of doesn't care and likes to have fun. I usually don't care for this gal, but I saw one interview with her yesterday where she was actually likeable and just fun. She wanted to bleach out her hair and went with it.
