Won tickets to a special screening. I really liked it. I am planning on seeing it again because we got there too late and had to sit all the way up front. While that made it easier to see the water/sweat dripping off Renner's chest, there were other scenes I missed.
Renner's character is a stark departure from Bourne. He's well-rounded. He could be a woobie or a bad ass or a smart ass. He did it all and it worked. It starts off a bit slow because they catch you up with the last film, but once it got rolling, it got rolling. I swear you could hear a pin drop in our theater. People were transfixed.
Rachel Weisz is gorgeous. She and Jeremy have great chemistry and a believable relationship. I liked her.
Edward Norton was good too. As usual.
I think it was a great new start to the franchise and can't wait for the next one.

Witchie, does this film tie into the previous films at all?

Yes. It ties into the previous films. Big time.

Thanks! One of the trailers did give me the impression the film is kinda giving you a look into another agent caught up in this government mess but trailers can be deceiving. You just never if reboot means, "Let's just forget those ever films were ever made!" or "Let's look at this story from another angle with tie ins/allusions to other films!"

After reading a few reviews, I'll say this. Don't go into this movie looking for it to be Bourne. It's not. Aaron is a different agent. If you look at this movie as being what it is, the legacy of Bourne's actions, you'll enjoy it a lot more. And the only reason I say this is Ebert's review. What the fuck? I knew more about this movie before stepping foot in the theater than he did and he's in the business.

I'm thinking Ebert should retire from weekly film reviews. He's just so out of touch lately.
All I'm looking for in this movie is Jeremy Renner beating people up, so I'm good with however that happens.

I think this looks like an awful mess but then I think Renner pretty much sucks so that's probably no surprise.
It's a shame cause the rest of the cast looks good.
