I'm excited for this one. Trying to see it tomorrow. I hope you do. Would love to get another impression of it.

The reviews aren't very promising (57% on RT at last check) but I'll still see it anyway. Love the other Bourne films.

witchie, is this movie okay to bring a 9-year old to? This is the only weekend I have free, but unfortunately I'm also babysitting my 9-years old niece.

Umm...it's not scary, but there are some intense scenes. She won't get a thing out of it. It's a lot of intrigue and espionage with fight scenes interspersed in it.

I liked this but felt it was over so fast! What with the past past, recent past and present, I could've used at least another 30 min, easy. I'm either accustomed to long movies now, or my mind was just trained to watch Renner. I also think <<< they gave away too much in the trailer.>>> Why must they do that? But overall, great intro to Cross. I don't know if I'd see another three in the series, but maybe one more.

I can't say it was bad, but it felt a little... undercooked? I did not see the third Matt Damon Bourne movie so I freely admit to my knowledge gaps. But I really wish that Cross had <<had actually gotten to confront Edward Norton's character in the present day, since their flashback scene was so tantalizing. I appreciate that they are probably saving it for a sequel, but it felt a little like the plot of this movie was left hanging.>>
I have no complaints about Renner's performance, but I sort of wish we'd gotten a little more depth on Aaron Cross. I did not see the <<Charly/Flowers for Algernon>> part of the story coming and thought Renner really brought the chops when they were addressing that.

Yes! I wasn't necessarily looking <<<for a confrontation, but something more definitive than the gf killing the Terminator and they end up in love. When he rolled up the map I was like, whuzzuh? >>> But I appreciated Renner's range as well. As usual, I wish they'd slowed up the fighting a LITTLE... Actors do so much training and then it's cut so fast you barely see anything happen.

I'm hoping that scene with Norton is longer in the director's cut. I couldn't figure out if that confrontation was the reason for his exile to Alaska. Oh, was the guy in the cabin supposed to be Marta's boyfriend. We were sitting so close to the screen I couldn't see the picture in the drawer.

I thought it might be one of the doctors from the lab? I couldn't tell how important it was supposed to be from the shot. The guy in the cabin was so pretty. Well, all the agents are.
Another minor point: <<<Larx 3 was supposed to be super Bourne, but what did he do other than chase them really hard? I expected to see him massacring crowds to get to them.>>> I guess it could be just another domino in the franchise box.

Cabin Guy was hot! Haha. I also liked seeing Zeljko Ivanek get a nice intense scene, he always brings the goods.
As for Edward Norton's character, <<yes! It's not that I needed a once-and-for-all knock-down drag-out fight between him and Cross, but even a telephone conversation might have brought some closure, even temporary closure.>>
