I may have squeed when I saw the baby thread on RoyalDish. So happy for them. I kinda hope they break tradition and not make Carl his first name. Honor Daniel's dad or anyone other than the king, but I know that's wishful thinking.

I'm on RD too (R2D2??). I don't agree with all the dish there but some of it is delicious. I like the name Oscar - very traditional but not as boring as Carl. Now I can't wait to see the royal cousin that Sofia and CP bring us in a few weeks.

I like the name. Fun fact: Olaf is Daniel's first name (and I think his dad's as well)
americanchai - I agree that some of the dish on RD is way OTT, but most of it is, indeed, delicious.

Oscar Carl Olof. Great name and I think it goes great with Estelle! Oscar and Estelle  I love the fact that Daniel got choked up telling the press about his son. Love that Carl Phillipe visited them in the hospital. Love that their "leaving the hospital" picture looks so normal. Daniel has the baby in a carrier, Estelle is fidgety, Victoria looks like a normal new mom. Not a fresh blowout or bespoke designer dress in sight. Just a family who happens to be royal. |
