The spin-off from "The Closer", we are back at the Major Crime division sans Det. Gabriel & Brenda Leigh.
I'm liking Capt. Raydor and think things are moving along well for the show. Rusty is annoying at times, but then again, I think that's what is supposed to be portrayed with him being a disgruntled teen.
Wonder how his story will fit once he testifies in the case against Phillip Stroh?

That'll probably end up being a season finale cliffhanger. Where will Rusty go? To his father & a new family or stay with Sharon. Not sure about the father. I know we should give him a chance since he had no idea he had a son, but I think he'll judge Rusty for being a prostitute.
I love the whole gang. It took me awhile to warm up to Sikes, but she's grown on me in recent weeks. Especially after she had her head bashed in & didn't lose the gun. Very impressive.

Sykes on Major Crimes was like Flynn on The Closer in terms of it taking me awhile to warm up to her. I'm enjoying this show but admit that it has taken a bit of adjustment on my part after being used to Brenda's more brash style. Raider is a nice person that follows the rules. It's kind of fascinating to have a show somewhat centered around her as that's not usually the case.

Ha! I always thought Corey Reynolds was Louis Gossett Jr's son, but it's actually Commander Taylor, who is related to Louis Gossett Jr. They are cousins.

We're already on to the Season Finale next week? Eek!
And PLEASE don't tell me something happens to Fritz. I'll be pretty damn pissed.
I wasn't expecting the physical abuse to Rusty by his bio-dad. That is just f-ed up. I hope Sharon nails him to a cross.
It does seem like the Major Crimes division has gained a lot of respect for the Capt. I think that she handles things so efficiently and with a lot of class. It does keep things running smoothly and gets the same end results. I always loved Brenda Leigh, but I think there is a sweet sincerity with Sharon and how she respects her fellow officers/detectives.

Daniel deserves whatever punishment the squad dishes out to him. Unbelievable. He doesn't want Rusty. Why pretend? If Rusty was a perfect child, Daniel would have jumped at sharing him with his family.

The whole situation with Rusty's bio dad is odd. It's like he was only meeting Rusty, etc. because he thought that he was supposed to, not because he wanted to. And I hate to suggest this, but could Rusty be lying about what happened? I will miss this show while it's on hiatus.

I thought the same thing too. I kinda hope he didn't because he's come so far, but it really is quite unbelievable (read: dumb as fuck) for Daniel to beat his son, who happens to be living with a police chief. We will see.
I love the fact the entire squad is raising Rusty. Flynn, Provenza, Buzz, Sanchez and Tao make better fathers to him than Daniel. Unfair, but true.

Returns tonight!
I've been dying wondering what happened with Rusty after it was revealed that he was getting tons of letters from that stalker (or Philip Stroh) and if he's still under Sharon care anymore.
