Some peeps on TWOP think Saul is the mole.... who slipped that guard the razor blade.
I wonder if we'll see a slightly darker side to him in season 2? I also wonder if the triangulation of Brody will be this video and the revelation that he's Muslim... and the CIA will just slowly squeeze him until he flips?
It does seem that Carrie will not be getting any credit or a pat on the back anytime soon.

It did occur to me that Saul might be the mole. He failed the lie detector test the first time he took it. They seem to have dropped the mole question for now, but I expect they'll pick it up again, probably when we least expect it.

Oh wow I had completely forgotten about the mole story line! I now remember the Saul is the mole speculation. It certainly makes sense. Still, at the same time, Saul was under an extreme amount of stress because of his marital issues. Also, Brody passed his lie detector test and we all know he was lying. So, the mole could have passed the test.
The current theory out that I like is Saul tries to flip Brody. Brody has shown some issues with what Abu Nazzir wants him to do. If Nazzir goes to far Brody might be open to becoming a double agent.
My only complaint about the latest episode is Brody sending the May 1 text. It was suspenseful but supposedly technology that could be used to communicate with the outside is world is taken away from you at Pentagon meetings.

I had to check my phone before going into the House Chamber when I was on a tour of the Capitol building, and Congress wasn't even in session. I can only imagine how strict the protocol would be at the freaking Pentagon.

Yeah, I found that bit unlikely, but figured I'd suspend belief for the sake of the story.

Oh my God!!! I love you, Saul! Poor Carrie - vindicated, but went through electroshock and damaged that wonderful, wounded brain of hers. Go get 'em, girlfriend! This show is the very definition of the saying, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they're not out to get you."

That was an intense episode. I felt so bad for Carrie, but I knew Brody would end up killing the shop keeper. He's going to break with all the lies.
On another note, Is airport security allowed to go through briefcases like that for government agents? I wonder what chip Saul planted for them? Can't wait for next week's episode.

Technically, no. Diplomatic bags (which Saul was carrying) are not supposed to be searched so what the guy at the airport did was totally illegal. Meanwhile I totally applauded when Saul pulled the real memory card out of the handle of the briefcase. And again when he showed it to Carrie. Saul's not a mole! I can keep liking him!

So disappointed with this episode. Last week you could alert the CIA's most wanted terrorist with a frigging text message sent from the Pentagon, but this week a shopkeeper needs to be personally escorted to a safe house by the VP's favorite congressman! Pull the other one writers.

The way Saul talked it sounded like perhaps the guy searching the bag had been bribed by somebody to find the chip. The guy certainly seemed like he was looking for one thing in particular. I think this suggests the mole had reason to believe Saul may find the chip. This was odd to me too. I have seen a theory online perhaps Nazir has decided Brody needs to be eliminated or at the very least is now seen as expendable. That would explain a few things.
