Kanye West says he won't perform at Coachella unless fellow headliner Billie Eilish apologises to Travis Scott, after she appeared to mention his fatal Astroworld festival during a recent show.

Wow, that's like the epitome of the saying "a hit dog will holler." Nobody said anything about Travis Scott. I'm sure he's grateful to Kanye for freshly reminding everyone about Astroworld.

So Kanye has decided to start a feud with a young female singer. Why does that sound familiar?

John Mayer recently stopped a concert to help an attendee in distress but I guess we won’t hear Kanye bitching about him.

Billie’s response is fine, but I wish she had some withering come back—a burn to last the rest of the year. Or she could have just responded, “Shut up, Kanye.” Or not responded at all and when asked about said, “Who?”

I can see not wanting to poke the crazy.

He’s just so far gone.

“Better call your lawyer and see if you can get out of that contract.”

None of those are especially satisfying. And I guess scoring a few cheap internet points and losing sight of the fact that people died is not the goal.

But kudos to Billie for watching out for her fans and standing up for herself.

I don't know why Coachella would want the liability of travis performing, maybe his appearance was news to them? Travis has a history of encouraging destructive behaviour at his concerts. He still could face criminal charges in addition to all the civil lawsuits flying. Why would you want to risk something happening and being on the hook for lawsuits and the inevitable fall-out of people saying they should have known better?

Travis Scott isn't playing at Coachella. Kanye is threatening to pull out because he believes that Billie's remarks about helping a fan was directed at Travis and the Astroworld incident. The whole thing reminds me of when he inserted himself in Taylor Swift's win over Beyonce. He just can't help himself, can he? Stay in your lane, Kanye.
