I loved Christoper Reeve so much. He was the epitome of handsome. I have Somewhere in Time on my DVR and refuse to delete it.
Topic? I probably will wait til this comes On Demand. I am far more likely to see this than Lone Ranger.

That trailer actually has me looking forward to this movie. Also, Henry Cavill is dreamy. *sigh* Will he be a better Superman than Reeve? No, but then Reeve's Superman is iconic, and I don't think anyone will ever measure up. When he died, everyone was sad because Superman died. Any remake of Superman will suffer for its lack of Reeve, but maybe this will bring something else to the table. This trailer has given be a bit of hope.

They are going to have to go in a completely different direction and make this nothing like Chris Reeve's Superman, or it will be a fail like the last one. I like Kevin Spacey, but they should have retired Lex Luthor. You cannot outdo Gene Hackman, not happening.

From the publicity stills I saw Henry Cavill fills out that tight costume nicely, so I'll probably pay to see that on the big screen.

Oh yeah, Cavill is cute, but Reeve is the ultimate Superman.

Michael Shannon doesn't look out of place in the brief clip of Zod so I'll give it a chance.

I'm there. I think Henry Cavill is HOT, especially with a beard.
O/T - my uncle was working in a restaurant in VT and said that one night the place just got quiet and all the women were turning their heads towards one man walking through the place. It was Christopher Reeve and they were all just in awe of him. Even my uncle commented on how good looking he was.

"Is it you?" *ahem* But yes, I too think I could only watch this OnDemand or the like. When they did the sequel several years back, it had Chris' approval and that guy, Brandon Routh was a ringer for Chris that I had to check it out. Just based on the trailers, it looks like the 2006 reboot is still better.

I wish they weren't doing an origin story but I guess that's necessary for a re-boot. Apparently the one with BR was a continuation as opposed to a reboot. But, seriously, is there anyone who is not aware of Superman's origin?
I'll be glad to see Superman actually being super. Not just stopping natural disasters or using his heat vision on falling glass but going toe-to-toe with Zod or someone similarly powerful. Hopefully that's what's going to happen here and it's not all brooding exposition. Superman is not about the brooding exposition.
