Oh for sure I agree that there is no way Irene is dead. She's too much of a pivotal character for them to have killed her off. Once I heard all they found was a pool of blood I began up suspect that she'd faked her own death - possibly because she's in cahoots with Moriarty.

Do you think Irene is really dead? She's serving a purpose being dead, but it would be juicy if she was still alive and in league with Moriarty. Or was in league with him before her death. No. Once the guy claimed that he had been in jail when she died I decided she faked her own death. This show is great, and I enjoy it, but it can be predictable.

This case was a bit too technical. Of course, the best parts were those that involved Sherlock & Watson. They are like the Odd Couple & CSI all rolled into one.
Side note: I absolutely love Lucy's wardrobe.

I also want to know her skin care secrets because she looks fantastic. I don't like Cumberbatch's Sherlock, although I do like him as an actor, but I love JLM's Sherlock. All my friends praise the BBC version, but I just haven't able to get into it, although that could have something to do with the asshat Martin Freeman.

This case did feel like it could have been on Law & Order. I wish they did more non-murder cases. Other crimes can be interesting too!
I love Lucy's wardrobe too. Its casual and loose yet still chic.

I think I read in EW (or People) how they really worked to give her a 'real' New York woman's wardrobe... How you'll see her wrapped up (stylishly of course) in hats, scarves, whatever, to reflect NY weather... And how her clothes will be trendy but comfortable, b/c she never knows where she'll end up when traveling with Sherlock.
ETA: I love the clothes too (clearly?) and want them all. ALL.

Bumping because the season finale was last night and it was awesome.
It was no surprise that Irene was still alive and I suspected that she was working with Moriarty. But I was not expecting the twist that she was Moriarty. I had read speculation that since Watson was a woman that Moriarty would be as well but I didn't quite believe that they would go that route. I love that the show is not afraid to mess with the canon and subvert the gender roles-even with Ms. Hudson, without making it seem forced. Although I have to say while I really like Natalie Dormer as Moriarty she does seem a tad young to be a criminal mastermind.
I also really liked the last scene with the bees. Nice symbolism of their partnership watching a rare bee find a compatible mate and birth a new species. I guess the next big mystery will be Holmes' father. Interested to see who they get for the part.

Exactly. She's my age, so she would've been pulling off complicated assassination plots and messing with Sherlock Holmes' mind when she was only 28. Does not make sense to me.
I remember finding it odd when she was cast that Irene would still be American, because they let Miller use his own accent so I didn't see why they'd make her do a fake American accent. Little did I know. I'm impressed that they were able to keep that twist under wraps so well.
Wow. I had no idea that actress was transgendered. She's gorgeous.

I have been spoiled with great finales this week. Elementary did not disappoint.
Had no idea until it was revealed that Irene was Moriarty. I was certain she was just another employee. I didn't find it odd that she was a criminal mastermind. I watch too much I.D. to believe she was too young to be a murderous, brilliant killer.
I loved the fact it was Joan, not Sherlock, who realized how to beat her. I also was clapping my hands with glee at their face off in the restaurant. Joan was not intimidated by Moriarty in the least. I liked that. A lot.
The final scenes with the beehive were sheer perfection. So much love for this cast.

As I was watching, I was thinking it would be cool if Irene turned out to be Moriarty, so I was thrilled when that's actually how it turned out! I liked that they let Watson be the one to figure a few things out, as well. I really enjoyed the finale and have enjoyed the whole season. I'm definitely looking forward to more!
