Same here. Awesome voice, horrible face. I have tried to see the hot but I just do not get it at all.

There are some actors I find ugly-hot, but Crumblebuns isn't one of them. He does have a wonderful voice. But I did almost stick my foot in my mouth big time on this topic when my aunt and mom and I were watching Sherlock.
Me: This guy is a major heartthrob on the Internet. [about to say, "Can you BELIEVE that???"] Aunt: Oh I know! He's so precious, like a lamb! Me: Ummm... yes! That's where I was going with that.

His voice is amazing. I cannot put into words why I find him attractive, but I was blown away by Sherlock and have sought him out ever since. The creepy blond wig for The Fifth Estate is horrid though. Egads.

He might be the ugliest actor I've seen in ages. He gives me the heebs. I don't understand the attraction at all. He is creepy looking but I kind of like him just from the Graham Norton clip. I've just seen him in the Star Trek movie and in clips from other things, he seems to be the type of actor that IS the part, reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis. Acting wise not hotness wise.

I don't necessarily find him attractive but, in all the interviews I've seen him in, he seems very likable and not someone who takes themselves very seriously. I liked what he had to say on fame, which seemed very sensible and reasonable without seeming self-pitying.

Yeah...he's not exactly the most attractive or appealing actor ever, well if we leave his voice out of the equation, but he has a lot of personal charm and charisma. Quite a nerdy personality. Something I've yet to see from the classical handsome Henry Cavill, who in comparison is quite stiff, gorgeous to look at, but at the same time not the most interesting person ever. And BC doesn't seem to be an idiot, that also helps in my book.

I've never been attracted to pretty boy types. I like his unconventional looks and he is charming, talented and smart. I likey!

I find him almost offensively unattractive. If an actress was this ugly, she'd never work. I want to start an Amanda Plummer fandom, just for spite.

I find Benedict really likeable & energetic but I feel you on the double standard. Women never actually get the jolie-laide treatment. And it's not solely the media to blame. Fandoms attach themselves to nerdy talented white actors like a moth to the flame and declare them "the hottest specimens ever" & are TWICE as fast to absolutely trash actresses from head to motherfucking toe.

He reminds me more of Tilda Swinton (when she is blonde) unusual looks for Hollywood star -wise. He looks best with the unruly hair, imo. eta Cavill seemed to be much more fun before Tudors (and a 24/7 publicist?) He also looks best with messy, curly hair.
