Oh, Hannibal, never at the table! Let the poor man finish his meal before making a meal out of him. And that was some big plate of olives that he bled into No kidding. For a culinarian who "would never do that to food" he let some guy's raw blood ruin the presentation and flavor. Sloppy.

WHAT?! This is not the news I needed to come home to on Monday. NBC lives up to its other acronym yet again.

Maybe a non-network can pick it up and then Fuller can really show us his full vision no holds barred.

NBC always ruins things, I love this show. I really have no reason to watch this network once the run is over. Come on Amazon or Netflix

Hannibal has been drawing barely more than half the number of 18-49 year olds as repeats of Elementary head to head, and it's not like the show is super cheap to produce (although being an international co-production helps tremendously). Television is a business, and it doesn't make sense to keep holding on to a show that makes them no money. I hadn't watched Hannibal previously but given all the great reviews I've read, I decided to try watching this season. Episode 1 was a complete fever dream, and I was glad to come here and discover it barely made sense to fans of the show. I've watched all the episodes so far this season, but I was considering giving up trying. It's one thing to have a show with a deep mythology and another to have a show with a deep mythology & a teeny tiny audience that is set up for no new viewers to be able to join it.

Back in season one when it wasn't clear if NBC was going to renew, Bryan Fuller said that he knew there would be a season two, one way or another. That tells me that at the time he had other offers (be it from networks or streaming services). Don't know if the same parties are interested two years later, but there's certainly the possibility and judging from Fuller's tweets, he is very open to the show continuing somewhere else.

If they are basing it off numbers for the first 3 episodes that's kind of silly, it was up against the NBA Finals which pulled record viewership this year. Also NBC got the show for relatively cheap, so they can't blame costs. NBC just sucks. Here's hoping Netflix picks it up, I know that was a rumor when it was time for renewal for the 3rd season.
