Great ending. Loved it. It was clearly written to function as either a season or series finale, and done very well. (whispers) I still wish they could've eked out one more season though. eta: I also thought at first viewing that Bedelia had gone insane from losing Hannibal & had cut off her own leg as tribute. But when she hid the fork I figured at least one more "guest" was expected for dinner. I also wonder if they would've introduced a new Clarice-like profiler in season 4. Will's arc was more or less complete, and it's hard to believe Fuller would have both Graham & Lecter survive that fall. I'm left with so many questions, sigh. And I'll miss the Scooby gang too.

TWO more guests! There were two more place settings at that table!
MURDER HUSBANDS!
I loved the finale! Why couldn't the rest of the season have been this awesome?
As AV Club said, "[Hannibal] ends his time on screen in a way that none of us would have expected when the show began: in the arms of the man he loved."
Le sigh... ♥

I really thought they were going to kiss. There's a rumor going around that in some of the takes they actually DID kiss, but Fuller thought that might be too much for NBC.

Not that it was too much for NBC but Fuller wanted to stay true to their relationship - it was intense and passionate but platonic.
That said, I *really* want to see those outtakes! /ships Hannigram
