I forgot to mention, I wish they hadn't killed off the birth mom so fast. One, woman of color bit it too fast. Two, hello, she might've had so much info!

I was watching Shakira on the Voice the other day... Helena really does look like her. Not just the hair, but the roundness of her face too. Now if only she had access to her hair care products.

For like the 15 minutes I wondered if OB was about to produce it's first light hearted episode. Shadow plays! Fart gag! Off key singing! I'm almost relieved Helena got in a bar fight because she was getting a little too cutesy! I did like her interaction with random trucker dude who seemed sweet. And Sarah trying to laugh at Helena's bad singing was adorable! I was actually about to type the actresses who play Sarah and Helena had good chemistry and then I remembered they are played by the same person.
God help me I did enjoy Alison's interactions with Vic. For about 2.5 seconds I thought perhaps he had truly turned a new leaf. And then he got into the car with Angie. Still, I did get the impression he might be feeling a wee bit guilty about deceiving Alison. But, for the most part, he's living up to his nickname!
I'm a bit confused about the stem cell find Scott made. But, once again, Delphine is keeping secrets from Cosima. I know Cophine shippers justify her behavior with, "But she's trying to save Cosima!" I get that. But she is not respecting Cosima. Cosima would not want Kira brought into this mess and Delphine knows it. Delphine's behavior is understandable. It's not justifiable though.
I'm trying to decide which is creepier. Duncan's "We wanted little girls!" or Paul following Sarah. Leekie being responsible for the lab fire is a little too convenient. Plus, wouldn't Leekie had made sure to secure data about the original before torching the place? Leekie is many things but he's not stupid. I think Duncan might be wrong about this one.
Mrs. S is shady but I do believe she truly loves Sarah and wants to protect her. Her conversation with Paul was great! Paul made the right call.

It is sweet/heartbreaking the way Helena just wants a family. She was thrilled to be on a road trip with her sister (and yes - I always forget they are played by the same actress. That's probably the highest compliment TM can get for this show). And I loved the way she was all blasé about breaking/spraining that dude's finger. But she is effed up and a killer (though I'm only really mad about her killing her birth mother). And on that note, I hope she goes to the farm, collects her embryos, and then murders the hell out of everyone there.
I look forward to more Alison/Vic next week - the "holy shit, she's crazy!" look on Vic's face was hilarious.

I loved the scenes of Helena & Sarah. Really well done.
So the female relative that the genetics guy was talking about was Kira? That went over my head.
I don't know if I quite believe that Dr Leekie is the big bad just yet.

I was in complete heaven during the first part of this episode. I actually teared up a bit as Helena and Sarah bonded. Tatiana just amazes me. It's just unbelievable. I was kind of bummed that Vic turned out to be the same old Vic. But, somehow Alison works really well with characters that are more gritty. She has that not-really-just-a-suburban-mom energy and when she's in the presence of her kindred spirits, it's electric. Delphine bugs me too. I've been really feeling for Cosima this season. Her only comfort has been someone she cannot fully trust.

The logistics of filming that car scene with Sarah and Helena just boggles me. They talk, over talk, interrupt, sing, laugh; it's just a such a natural interaction between two people. Except that it's not two people. Impressive.

It's hard to remember it's not the same actress playing both parts. Like, I actually find myself thinking "I love the chemistry between Allison/Sarah, Helena/Sarah, Allison/Cosima, etc etc etc." I'm really hoping this year she's recognized with an Emmy nomination. No other actress is doing this sort of 'heavy lifting' role and doing it so impressively, at that.

There is no way she won't get nominated this year. The buzz about the show has increased exponentially all year, ahe won the TV Critics Award and is nominated again this year and has won or been nominated for several acting awards internationally. If the Emmys overlook her again, there will be a lot of criticism.
And the Emmys already have a reputation for nominated the same-o, same-o year after year. I mean, come on, Sofia Vergara gets nominated for squawk-yelling in an increasingly indecipherable accent every year? We get it, she has spectacular boobs. That's not acting. There are lots of great comedy acting performances going on in other "little" shows (Marcia Gay Harden in Trophy Wife, Eden Sher in The Middle are just two examples), but the Emmy folks just look at the same dozen shows every year and ignore the rest.
