Caputo took Sophia's picture, not the nun.

Caputo took Sophia's picture, not the nun. He clicked the button, but it was the nun's phone and it was pretty clear that his role in it was going to look the other way while the nun smuggled the phone out.

He gave the phone to that reporter or whomever. Yes, totally agree, he wanted to be kept out of it, but he got the photo to the outside.

Oh that's right he gave him the phone. But still, his role in it was 95% passively letting other people fight the battle instead of doing something about it himself during the many months when Crystal Burset was begging him to help. And that's the one thing I can remember him doing that involved sticking his neck out a little bit. It's always him yelling and looking disheveled and frustrated, but ultimately not doing much of anything.

When I look at everything that has happened since Caputo became warden, I really don't understand how he still has a job.
I get that he didn't want to throw Bayley under the bus, but I can't believe he didn't mention the prisoner by name in the press conference. I mean, every single person out there with a loved one in that prison had to be panicking wondering if it was their loved one. He would be fielding a million phone calls once he got back to his office if he didn't have much bigger fish to fry.
Side note - do we have spoiler policy for streaming TV shows? I know the board guidelines say we don't use spoiler tags for TV shows, but I'm sure that was established with shows that actually air once a week on TV in mind rather than an entire season getting dumped all at once onto a streaming service.

I just finished the season. I sobbed when everything went down in the cafeteria. Sobbed. I'm terrible about reading spoilers but from the early reactions in this thread I wanted to be fresh so I didn't know and it hit me hard. Wow. I have a lot to process.
I did think this season was a big improvement over last season.

The image of Lolly in the time machine clutching the potato, trying to time travel haunts me. Poussey's death broke me, but Lolly....people with mental health issues deserve so much more than they get.

So true. Lori Petty is amazing in that role. So many of them are amazing, in fact! Uzo Aduba continues to be, like, WHOA!
We just finally finished this season last weekend. "Still processing" applies to me as well. One of the big things that really sticks out to me is Pennsatucky forgiving her rapist. I'm having a hard time dealing with that. She's looking for love in all the wrong places ... I get that. But still. It's a rough story line to watch play out ...

I know. Big Boo's reaction to Pennsatucky's decision was tough to watch. (I never would have guessed that their friendship was one I'd be rooting for.)

Lolly's story line was just so heartbreaking, the way she calls out for Healey when they take her to the psych ward wrecked me. I hope Lori Petty wins soem serious hardware for this season. She was wonderful.
