Are they ever going to dress Ichabod in modern clothes? I guess the old-fashioned duds are part of his charm. I don't think it would take much to update his clothes. Put him in a pair of regular pants, some modern boots, and a 3/4 length coat, and he's the same guy. Just don't lose the hair. I lurve his ponytail, to an almost unhealthy degree.

Normally, I am NOT a fan of ponytails on guys, but I agree, on him, it works. In fact, he is much hotter with his "Sleepy Hollow" look than in photos I've seen (I haven't seen him in any other roles, but he's not as cute in his IMDb pics as he is on the show, IMO. He's still pretty damn adorable, though). So yes, I agree -- update his clothes, but don't touch the hair. They could update his clothes without radically changing his look, like Babycakes said. Although after someone pointed out that he and Abbie basically have the same hairdo, I notice it CONSTANTLY now.

The Headless Horseman just showed up at the New England Patriots - New Orleans Saints football game. Does that help solve any mysteries? It sounds like what Fox did with the Observer on Fringe; September would show up bald & expressionless at random games and American Idol, etc. Like Where's Waldo. I think it's a cute way to spark interest in the show. Ladies, I just read that his hair is a wig. Womp womp. Still, he's supercute, I love the modern disconnects (OnStar...guns with more than 1 bullet...) and I can listen to his accent all day. EW did a piece pretty much agreeing with us; there's absolutely no reason this show should work, but it does. That's good enough for me! My only issue--totally petty, I'm owning that--is that Jenny does not resemble Abbie in the least. Like, not at all, except they are two black women I've been told are sisters. But I love that Jenny's done all this Hamilton/Terminator-type training Abbie knew nothing about.

My head canon on Jenny & Abbie is different daddies.

Yeah, I figured it was a wig -- but it's a pretty good one (who remembers the AWFUL flashback wigs on Angel? Or pretty much any supernatural show/show with flashbacks to olden times? Dear Lord!). I vote it stays. No, Jenny looks nothing like Abbie. Like, not even remotely close. Although I don't think it's that weird because I don't look much like my own sister (and I look NOTHING like my mother, who favors the Slovenian side of her family, while I look JUST like my Irish/Scottish dad and my brother). So I'm willing to handwave it -- maybe Jenny looks like mom's family and Abbie resembles dad's. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. It's probably pretty hard to find actors who are both right for the part AND resemble each other, so I am not too bothered by it. Although I have to say, for those of you who watch "Rizzoli & Isles," I always marvel that they managed to snag Sharon Lawrence as Maura's mom, because they absolutely look like mother and daughter. [/off topic babbling] Yes, this show should totally suck. I think it's the fact that the cast plays it absolutely serious -- and the fact that both Nicole B and Tom M are so damn charming -- that makes it work.

I'm doomed to always be a little behind on this show, but before the new episode airs I just wanted to toss out one more SQUEE for the one that aired last week (which I didn't get to see til yesterday, so it's still fresh for me) But I LOVED the oogie demon things squirming around in the river of fire. The special effects on this show are just the right amount of creepy. I also love the gadgets they keep uncovering and that Icabod knows what they are and how to use them.
But mainly, I'm loving that in spite of being called Sleepy Hollow and having a time traveling Icabod Crane... the show seems to be mainly about the Mills Sisters. It's so refreshing. Because it certainly wasn't a show that was pitched as "Ok, so there are these two African American sisters who..." But its their story that has become front and center. For all his wangst about his lost love, so far Ichabod's really just there to be pretty (Not that I'm complaining!) He lets the two women take the lead and never bosses them around. Even Abbie's actual boss is apt more often than not to trust her insincts and let her do things her way!
And as the sisters' story gets more fleshed out, it's very intriguing to see where it all will lead. How interesting to find out that the Sheriff didn't just take Abbie under his wing- but Jenny as well. But Abbie, he sent down the Law and Order path while Jenny was trained in the Sarah Connor 'Big Bad is coming, trust no one, get your paramilitary training on, Girl!' School of Thought. Did he have a purpose in giving two separate, but important skill sets? Time will tell.
As it stands, they give off a very Winchester Brother vibe in their weapons knowledge, survival skills, handy research library left to them by a father figure, and constant sibling bickering. It's deeply awesome. As is Icabod just standing there always to provide historical tidbits and look delictable whilst doing so. (He started the Boston Tea Party??? Well, of course he did!)

I love the gadgets from revolutionary times because it reminds me of what was actually cool about the National Treasure movies.

Just caught up with this show and I absolutely adore it. Jenny is so badass and I have a massive crush on her. Abbie's leather jacket needs to be in my life and obviously she's great too, but sometimes I'm a little distracted by how young she looks (or maybe just jealous? I get confused.). As others have said, I love that the show is so inherently dumb and yet it works. I'm interpreting the "seven years of tribulation" (or whatever) thing to mean that they have a plan for seven seasons, which I hope is the case. I really like how complex the relationship between Abbie and Jenny is, too, and watching the two of them bounce off Ichabod. In a lot of ways this show is what I hoped Supernatural would be.

Except no women have to die after being sexed up by a Winchester.
I like that Abbie's boss is so chill about the strange goings on in his town, but at the same time it's making me wonder what angle he's working.

This show keeps getting better and better.
Can't gush enough about Abbie & Ichabod. They are terrific together. Not only the chemistry, but the way they play off of each other. When one is down, the other picks them up.
So we got confirmation Katrina is dead and in Purgatory. I have so many theories as to what she did or agreed to do. I was talking to a friend last night and one theory has to do with Persephone & Hades. That she is married/bound to Moloch. The other theory is that she abandoned her & Ichabod's child to save Ichabod. That one is weak, but there you go.
What did the ex find out from Oxford? Did the lady on the phone say there was an Ichabod Crane on staff? If true, then I'm back to thinking Katrina abandoned their child after Ichabod died. And that kid grew up and had children of his own.
