UGH this week with the "it's all connected" was terrible. Everyone in my living room groaned out loud with Raina's "prediction" tying in the new Avengers movie.
The episode seemed so choppily edited in the second half I started to lose interest.

Mr. Ladybug loves the movie tie ins, but I hate them! The plot is contrived to promote the movie.

I found the "gosh, the AVENGERS!" tie-ins last week fairly silly. This week though? Damn! Is this show always fated to have its most interesting episodes right after a major movie comes out?

I found the "gosh, the AVENGERS!" tie-ins last week fairly silly. This week though? Damn! Is this show always fated to have its most interesting episodes right after a major movie comes out? I loved the opening with Koenig and was glad they didn't drag out the whole movie connection. I was totally surprised at the end - I thought Gonzales was going to be the problem, but it was Skye's mom. Looks like Raina may have been right all along. The Agent 33 reveal surprised me too and i have no idea what Ward's end game is. At least they have 2 hours for the finale. |

I have to say I'm really enjoying both Dichen Lachman and Ruth Negga in their respective roles. Having an array of really interesting female characters is the one area where this show is completely kicking the ass of the Marvel movies.

I can't believe I'm asking this, because I usually stay away from this kind of convo, but I kept wondering if Dichen is pregnant, because her face is considerably rounder than I'm used to seeing it. I also thought she looked a bit fuller in the chest. I did a bit of googling, but didn't see anything.
As for the story line, I did enjoy the multiple unexpected character twists. With regards to Raina, I kept thinking of the "boy who cries wolf". She may or may not have had honorable intentions this time, but her past worked against her.

I thought it was great. I was applauding for Bobbi! I appreciated the Tahiti callback. Lots of good stuff in there. Still love seeing Ming-Na do...anything.
