The episode seemed mostly like a setup for future episodes but I still found it pretty funny. I actually prefer Boyle with Gina than him obsessing over Diaz. Although I hope this show doesn't become too focused on relationships. That's what happened on Parks and Recreation and the show became a lot less funny when it went from a workplace comedy to a show where everybody must pair up. Brooklyn Nine Nine has the same creators as Parks & Rec so I am a little wary.

How do I love Terry Crews? Let me count the ways ... I just want a buddy cop show of Andre Braugher and Terry Crews--the two of them reorganizing the unit seating last season was beautiful. Though I loved Jake and The Sarge paired off this week too. |

I am really enjoying this show! I like how the writers take care to mix different pairs of characters (and they all work), even when Andy Samberg is the ostensible star. Everyone has his or her strengths, but Terry Crews is especially hilarious.

This show continues to shine. Next to Parks&Rec it's probably the best ensemble comedy out right now for me.
