Andy Samberg cop comedy with Andre Braugher. Surprisingly one of my favorite shows so far this season. Anyone else watching?

Andy Samberg cop comedy with Andre Braugher. Surprisingly one of my favorite shows so far this season. Anyone else watching? I've said this elsewhere, but the exchanges between Terry Crews and Andre Braugher are the best part. The deadpan delivery of "They have adorably chubby cheeks" when being shown a picture of Cagny and Lacey was beautiful.

I've been watching Andre Braugher since Homicide, so yeah, I'm in! I think there are enough characters that it doesn't have to be all Samberg, all the time. A little goes a long way (which is why I love the Lonely Island videos).

Loved the pilot (especially after the disappointment of Dads) but the second show was identical to the pilot. Even some of the dialog was the same! Then I read that it is thus with most shows, the first show in the series mimics the pilot. Sets up the premise, characters, conflicts. I don't know WHY this so, be because we have the pilot and all, but I'm glad it's the norm and not lazy writing.

Samberg's character is the only one I don't find funny. Braugher in a comedy is golden, but I am a little biased in that I would watch him read the phone book.

I don't understand the dislike of Andy Samberg or how it's possible to like the show without enjoying his character. The writing for this show is good (so far), and his character, being the main character (so far) gets a lot of the funny lines. If it's a matter of delivery, well, I don't have a problem with his style. I liked his clever approach at the James Franco roast too, so I guess I just like him overall. Does the dislike towards him have something to do with SNL? I don't know, maybe I'm just easily amused.

For me its Samberg's delivery or voice. It is just really loud and over the top. It didn't bother me so much on SNL because it seemed more appropriate in live tv when you are playing to a live audience. Plus you only had to take it in 3 minute sketches. I also find him kinda ugly which is shallow so I am trying to get past that This show reminds me a lot of Parks and Recreation. It should, they have the same creators, they are both workplace comedies in a government setting. In addition they both have killer supporting casts with a slightly problematic lead. I remember in early Parks and Recreation Amy Poehler was really over the top and obnoxious. She eventually calmed down and the show figured out how to better use her. Now she is one of my favourite characters. I am hoping the same thing will happen with Brooklyn Nine Nine and Samberg.

I really like this show, even Andy doesn't bother me. But my favorite part is the supporting cast. It has a lot of potential.

Scary Terry is the funniest Terry. The ratings for this are bad. Its not helped by a terrible lead in with Dads which is totally bombing. I laughed out loud several times last episode. Every thing with Terry Crews and Andre Braugher is gold. I will be sad if this is cancelled.
