I’m confused. It was a PR stunt that lasted for two years and she left her marriage because of it? Couldn’t it just be an actual relationship?

Yeah, I don't believe it was a PR stunt. It was a real relationship that, like a lot of relationships that start on film sets, fizzled out once they weren't in that "filmmaking world" anymore.
