I don't get that dress at all. It seems very unflattering for a pregnant figure!

There's an interesting article about Monaco and Charlene in the Daily Beast, and it's rather sympathetic to her. Among other things, I did not know Albert stammered when he speaks French. I just read it and I hope that having a son means that she can quietly leave Monaco, only showing up for official appearances. The children can certainly go to school elsewhere in Europe, giving her a good excuse for being away and then they can officially divorce. Albert should have waited a few years and hooked up with Gwyneth. She's be the perfect princess for the pretentious Monegasques.

I'm having a moment imagining Gwyneth discussing her rabbinical dynasty heritage in re: converting to Catholicism and how these Monagasque peasants don't understand her French accent.

Here's the link to the Daily Beast article. It's a weird article - it drops this line "Her Serene Highness also appears to have taken solace in extensive surgical alterations to her body over the past three years" with no further discussion. I've never heard anything and hadn't really noticed that she looks any different, so I'm not sure what they're talking about. It also mentions what a nice guy Albert is and there are definitely some different views of him out there. It does make Monaco sound like a miserable place to be.

If she had surgical alterations at all, it's a pity she didn't do anything about her perma-frown. She always looks so miserable in photos.

When I read that about Charlene, I wondered, too. Maybe she got a bit freshened up, or she's engaging in things like labioplasty or a butt lift. I agree the article was quite strange, and it made me feel kind of bad for Albert. I wonder if he has any friends in Monaco, either.

The heir and spare in one. Congratulations!
Let the name speculation begin.

Wow! So what happens if it's a boy and girl? Does Monaco allow first-born females to be the heir?
