Selfishly, yes. I think I need someone to watch it with. I'm not sure how I feel about it. She started out kind of intense and high-energy (like Nicole from Rehab Addict) but she got really grating, like she's immature and high maintenance. However, she's working on an interesting 1970s MCM-style house and I find myself liking her choices--she had the entire exterior painted black. She's shown making choices and not a lot of work, but...I don't know.

Is anyone else watching the Jennie Garth project? Sporadically. I admit to tuning in to see if she was as annoying on the actual show as she was in the approximately 5,360 promos I saw for it. The answer is yes, of course she is! But at least she's a 'visionary' so she's go that going for her.

HA! I mean, the house looks nice so far, and I like her landscaping, but right now I'm not blown away. It looks like the average layout in Atomic Ranch, and what has me mostly turned off was her tantrum about the black paint showing dirt. I was kind of sympathetic until she started blaming everyone for not telling her.

I like her house, too! I think it's just her.

I have spent the morning watching "Flea Market Flip". It is KILLING me watching these people destroy cool stuff.
I want a mash-up show with Antiques Roadshow. Expand to an Hour. Start with teams shopping the flea market for their stuff. Then, once they have it, take it away from them and run it by the Roadshow appraisers. Then give it back to the contestants and let them do their worst. Have their sale, tally up their profits, then contrast that with the appraisals before they "fixed up" the stuff.
I would watch that all day!

That's a great article. My aunt was born in Waco (Air Force brat), but they moved when she was a baby. I've never been, but I plan to drive through on our way to visit family in Austin next summer. Magnolia Market was on the agenda, but 35,000 people a week--might be too crowded to visit.

I have spent the morning watching "Flea Market Flip". It is KILLING me watching these people destroy cool stuff. I was watching a marathon this summer and one couple made a really cool "Nightmare Before Christmas" end table/night stand that didn't sell. I loved it & would have bought it in a flash. Now I'm wondering what happens to the stuff that doesn't sell? Do they save it or do they have a regular flea market stand where they sell it? ----------------------------------------- I love Fixer Upper and Chip & Joanna Gaines, but I liked the first season, where they actually fixed up horrible houses better than the last season, where they remodeled nice houses into nicer houses. And this: has is gone, too. For the most part, the rooms you see remodeled are the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom/bathroom. There are some exceptions, like the barn they turned into a house or the grandparent's house that was empty for 20+ years, but mostly it's the same 3 rooms that that get fixed up. --------------------------------------- Property Brothers always do those rooms, with sometimes a laundry room, kid's playroom, or office thrown in. But the people on that show are usually buying homes that need serious attention. What happens with the other rooms that aren't shown. Do the homeowners get them remodeled, but not shown, or are they just expected to deal with those rooms on their own?
