Okay, I love HGTV (Mulva: not yours!  ) as much as the next guy, but some of the people who end up on these shows bug the living shit out of me. They bitch about everything, they don't trust the guys who are doing their renovations (really? why are you here again?), some of them chicken out at the last minute from buying anything. Am I alone? |

No, you're not alone. I don't especially care about A&E being the WalMart of TV or Animal Planet's TreeHouse Master show, but what bothers me about HGTV is the lack of diversity in programming. What every program boils down to is How to Hire People Do Things and Then Argue With them About It. There are a few that aren't (Rehab Addict and Cash and Cari, I guess), but still! I wanna see some gardening! I want to learn more about different architectural styles, or super cheap renos, or whatever.
I also dislike those creepy twins.

What was that show where people who didn't know what they were doing at all filmed themselves? My brother the electrician loves that show. These people didn't have experts helping them, and they'd do crazy, stupid things. He'd just laugh and laugh.

Creepy twins? Not the fabulous "Property Brothers", surely? Not the Property Brothers that I'm watching right now........ Yep, them. To be honest, my gripe is that one of them had a dumb butt cut for a while, and I do like the way they barely suppress yelling at their clients. but they kind of freak me out and I don't know why. |

To be honest, my gripe is that one of them had a dumb butt cut for a while, and I do like the way they barely suppress yelling at their clients. but they kind of freak me out and I don't know why.See, that's one of my favorite shows, although I do have to switch the channel sometimes because the clients come off as having their heads up their respective asses. Especially the ones that put in last-second requests for stuff like all-house surround sound after the wiring is complete, a bigger bathtub after the bathroom is complete, or some donated appliances that don't fit the kitchen remodel either in dimension or style - and then expect the contractors to magically pull the money out of their buttcracks. |

Ok, I'll happily concede with you on that. I guess I don't catch it often enough, but I did enjoy them yelling at the couple who wanted to knock out all the walls and move the load bearing beams.
