To be fair there's been times when she's been one of the more reasonable of the book reading folks in the Outlander forums and I'm not 100% certain she's who I'm thinking of from TWOP's GH thread since I stopped following the show entirely ages before TWOP died. But the non stop Scottish dialect thing in writing grates pretty bad. I would hope she doesn't do that elsewhere.

I have gotten to where I cannot read the Outlander threads over there anymore. I hate when they trash Ron Moore (who I think has made a great show out of source material which is at times ... not great). I cringe when they lose their minds over Laoghaire because it is so OTT, and I feel sorry for the writer who wrote the episode a couple of weeks ago that was not well received. No, it was not good but calling for her to be fired? Dial it down about ten notches, ladies.

Does it really cost that much to run? Do they pay the writers? They are like addicts chasing the high - they will never regain twop at it's high.

Most of it is fairly reasonable subjective opinion stuff but this one goes on about how "I studied acting and blah blah blah" and is generally pretentious AF. I did theatre for 30 years (just community stuff) and that post reminded me of all of the people I hated to work with.

Weren't the main ones complaining non stop about how hard it was to run the site and how overwhelmed they were at the peak? Or that's just the impression they leave; always complaining.

There is a poster in the Finding Your Roots forum who is of Sicilian descent and can't seem to understand that discrimination against POC is different from discrimination against Southern European immigrants in thr early 19th century. That's my annoyance in a nutshell. The longer story involves lots of posting about her less than 1% DNA matches of about 10 different ethnicities.

I have a higher tolerance for long winded posters than many but the person in the Outlander forums who does "good, bad, and ugly" style episode reviews clocked in at about 1600 words this week. My poor face eyes.

I just scroll past her posts. I sometime think posters who post those super long posts are hoping to be tapped to do recaps. I can get pretty obsessive about shows but I have never posted posts that long. That has to require taking notes while watching, doesn’t it? That seems excessive to me.

My poor face eyes. She is on my hide list but I know who you are talking about. The self-importance is strong with that one.

OMG I was just thinking about ~Rose~ the other day. Whatever happened to her and her, er, man? Topic: Outlander threads on PreviouslyTV. Those posters can be brutal. If you post an opinion, even with "evidence," they tend to pounce if it's not an opinion they share and feel is actually Truth. I ragged on Sam's acting a bit, saying he "cheats" his face too much in close-ups, but I still like the show and will continue to watch. I don't think they have chemistry anymore, and I explained that I didn't think their lack of chemistry was on purpose. Yeah, they don't like opinions. Unless it's their own. Rabid, some of them!
