I am so, so sick of that ponytail, I don't know what to do. I have fairly boring hair, but for special events, I try...something different. Good Lord!! I think it's mainly for imaging. Last year (or maybe it was two years ago), I saw girls walking around on Halloween wearing high ponytails with cat ears and some sort of mini-dress and I knew exactly who they were supposed to be. Without the ponytail, I don't even think I'd recognize her in different contexts. Would it violate any board policy if we set a bounty on her ponytail? I'm asking for a friend of course....

Did her makeup artist line outside of her lips?! This isn't uncommon. The Kardashians do it a lot (and may have started the trend? I'm not sure) and IIRC a few years ago when Rihanna did ads for...MAC, maybe, you could see in the print ad that her lips were lined outside of their natural end. Ariana's could be done better, though--I tend to think it doesn't work as well with a lighter lip color. Yeah, this is an old-school technique to make the lips look fuller. It's very hard to pull off, and pretty much only for pro makeup artists (and drag queens) because it's tricky and can look really fake.

My first encounter with it was Lucille Ball, so yeah, older than dirt.

Ugh the ponytail and the boots! It was cute at first but it's beyond played out now. It's a shame...she's cute and actually talented, but she just bugs.

Also has her signature looks, but I can still recognize them if/when they change things up. Even Beyoncé switches up her (hair) flow.

On the subject of hair, E! Online has a photoshop collage of different hairstyles for Ms. Grande. I really like the Jennifer Lawrence cut on her. The super-long ponytail only amps up the fembot kiddie pornness of an already youthful-looking face. A shorter cut would help age her up immensely. But given all her preening and pouty-lipping, I think she kinda likes the baby prostitute look.

Her pre-makeover look is like Brittany Murphy and Ashley Tisdale had a baby.
