what did everything think of episode 2? I think it's going to be too over the top for me at some point this season... Yes, I'm definitely getting that OTT feeling. I think part of it is that, so far, the show is less balanced than the beginning of last season. Last year, we saw more of the underlings and their competitiveness, some law school stuff, and regular life stuff. We also had Annalise's "normal" marital problems, some stuff with Sam's career, etc. Plus, the case of the week grounded things. There needs to be a little bit more of that to counterbalance all the crazy. I totally agree. All I can think of is "Viola just won her Emmy. Don't put her in such OTT situations that it takes away all she accomplished last year." Because to me, the relentless pace, coupled with the fact Annalise is losing it, just makes for a one note character. I want some subtly thrown in every now and then. Not Connor yelling "Everything's Your Fault!!!" as she lies in a pool of her own blood. And although Famke is lovely, I want Annalise back with Nate. He is fine! PS- SO glad the ADA is going to be offed. I hate her character. Any thoughts on what Bonnie did once upon a time for her to say to Annalise "You saved me"?

Watching the episode from this past Thursday. The dress they have Viola Davis wearing in court - the burgundy one - totally not working for her at all. They've been dressing her in some awesome outfits but that dress is a total miss.

I may have to give up this show for heart health because the last five minutes had my heart thumping for at least 15 minutes afterwards, plus I couldn't catch my breath.

I can't stand Oliver, so at the end I let out a little giggle. (I'm sure he's safe. That guy will probably be like, "WHY Y'ALL STALKING ME?" right?)
But, daaaaaaaaaaamn, Bonnie!
I think Bon pushed the already dead body of the prosecutor from the top of the mansion, though. I can't see them having her kill YET ANOTHER PERSON. Maybe eventually they'll have everyone kill someone? Frank - Lila. Wes - Sam. Bonnie - Rebecca. So interested on how all hell has broken loose in that house, though! And the beginning of the ep a couple back when Anna was getting wheeled into the ER, and Frank was all "OH NOES!" and frantic, then when he was outside of the security camera range, his demeanor totally changed to "meh." (I still can't believe he was Ben on Buffy.)
Guys, did they ever let us in on why Frank owed Sam the favor, which ended up being him murdering Lila? I cannot, for the life of me, remember at all. (And, trust. I hang on every Frank scene. lol.)
And what was with Anna telling Eve that Wes "is him" or whatever? Her son? (He's adopted...) If so, that is bordering on creepy right there. (Like, I don't know, when they were all at the dance club?!)

I think the "Wes is her son" theory is too obvious -- I thought that might be what happened since the beginning of Season 1. My guess is that he had something to do with one of her cases, in a similar way to Bonnie.

Annalise is freakin' crazy. CRAZY. Amen to that. Now we're on an entirely new story connecting these students to Annalise (and her former on/off lover)? Damn you, mid-season cliffhangers!

Holy sh*t, everyone involved is going to need some maaaajor therapy.
Quick question, is 10 years long enough for a kid to totally forget an adult in his life with some relationship to (presumably) his mom? Is Wes her nephew, I wonder? And I can't wait to hear how Famke J. figures into all this foolishness. Wes was like "Haha why shoot you in the leg when you're freaking INSANE, lady, you're going DOWN!"

I feel like "don't over-antagonize the dude holding the gun, especially when you just want a flesh wound to the leg" should be first rule of Murder Club. Annalise, I'm disappointed in you.
I'm glad the obvious "Wes is Annalise's son" angle isn't true. That seemed just TOO soapy (said half-sarcastically). I'm also glad I'm getting a break. This show is stressful!
