The interview with the girls looks like it's being received well by the FNC audience. There are a lot of people on Twitter thanking Megyn Kelly for giving the victims a voice and for her criticism of the "Christian hating" media.

These people are evil, disgusting... I would say "pigs" but I love pigs too much.
Fuck these people. They put a lock on the girls' bedroom? How about locking up the criminal deviant, not the innocent victims?? Idiots!
My loathe-o-meter is going through the roof just from reading about them here and in the headlines. I can't bring myself to watch any of the coverage.

I'm not going to watch; your comments alone say more than enough. Those poor, brainwashed women.

I knew they were going to trot the girls out and stick them in front of a camera to "defend" their brother and clean up the mess made by the parents. Meanwhile, Josh is in hiding not being subjected to a single question about his actions. Protect the precious prince.
If you have to sleep behind a locked door in your own home, something is seriously wrong. All of these rules to protect them, but the unsaid message is "you aren't safe in your own home, girls." Sick and sad.
In a year, Josh will be the guy rounding up the carts in the Wal-mart parking lot. As it should be.

That porn comment came out of nowhere, and you just know they were told to be sure to mention it. Are we supposed to believe that the Duggars are concerned with the exploitation of women now? What of the other media outlets they were previously friendly with like People and the Today Show? Their story wouldn't have crossed over into the mainstream if it weren't for their participation in hate speech and hate politics. This is something they'll never understand. They really do believe they are here to fight a battle on behalf of the Lord and that they are the Davids to the outside world's Goliath. Jessa especially is ready to do battle. Just feed her a few lines of bullshit and she is off and running.
If they don't care if the show is cancelled, then they don't have any concept of how much money will be lost to their family. Neither Jessa nor her husband have any source of income outside of Jim Bob's handouts. Jessa might be stuck in the very small home Jim Bob gave them as a starter home a lot longer than planned. Then will she be angry with Josh and her parents??
I can't imagine what Joyanna is going through right now. I'm sure she's being coached and brainwashed daily. She's the one who was victimized at the age of 5 and has always struck me as quiet and reserved and inward. Jana seems to be that way as well. They probably have a lot going on in their inner worlds that they've learned to keep locked away there because they are surrounded by people who don't want to hear it.
I think this comment from Jessa was the most bizarre:
Subtle and sly. She made her brother sound like the Big Bad Wolf. Maybe somewhere inside underneath all the denial there's a little girl who has thought of her brother as such ever since he violated her. These girls were locked in their bedroom for years afraid of the Big Bad Wolf coming for them. I don't blame them for wanting to forget and pretend like it wasn't a big deal. For victims of abuse within the home, the constant anticipation and fear of potential abuse can be just as emotionally traumatizing as the abuse itself.

Porn is like one of the ultimate sins to these people. They bring it up a lot. The evils of porn are at the center of Kirk Cameron's Fireproof, a movie Josh and Anna went to see together when they were "courting." It took me a while to figure out KC and his on-screen wife were arguing about it because they were using all these Christian code words and phrases when referring to it. Porn is so scary to them that they are afraid to openly speak of it. ETA: I thought this moment in the interview was a little awkward ( 18:25) Did the "babysitter" forgive Josh really? Was the other victim really the babysitter? I remember articles when the story first broke stating that the other victim was a daughter of a family friend. I think it was Jim Bob who used the word babysitter (and we all know what a liar he is). I may be nitpicking, but I think they are going with calling her a babysitter because that implies an older girl and they'd rather everyone forget about Josh's interest in younger girls. I could be reading too much into it. It just seemed to me that both Jessa and Jill made this "I'm lying" face when the babysitter was brought up. Regardless, it's really not the Duggars place to speak for the fifth victim, even if she did express forgiveness to Josh, because they are implying that her forgiveness is of the same "no big deal, whatever, moving on" variety as theirs. Everybody doesn't forgive in the same way for the same reasons. Only she has the right to express what those reasons are.

Why would that family need a babysitter? They've got them built-in.
Also, I'm a very light sleeper, admittedly, but I cannot imagine sleeping through being, at the very least, felt up. Not that that makes it any better if they did, but I think *they* think it's more 'innocent' if they claim they never even knew what Josh was doing to them.
