No love/excitement for this yet? I'm going to see it tonight, and I can't wait. I'm a HUGE Jurassic Park fan and hoping this will be the installment that finally does the original justice (I actually enjoyed Lost World and III, but I can admit that they're not very good films). The previews and reviews look promising.

I'm definitely taking the nephews to see this! I actually don't mind the sequels either, but am hoping this one is amazing.

I wanna see it this weekend! I can't wait. I think I rewatched the first one about 3x this past weekend.

Seeing it tomorrow and cannot wait! I love dinosaurs chomping on people. I'm 99.9% sure that the two kids will survive though. They always survive in these movies. If this was Game of Thrones: Dinosaurs, the kids would bite it first!

I still haven't seen any of the other Jurassic Park movies, but I'm ridiculously excited about this one. It looks awesome.

I saw it last night and loved it. Of course it has nothing on the original, but I thought it was a lot of fun with plenty of throwbacks to the first movie that I enjoyed. Chris Pratt was perfect in his role.

I LOVED IT! Nothing will ever compare to the first one, but I think I can safely say that it's better than #2 and #3. Even with the lack of Goldblum. The final action sequence was totally amazeballs.

My kids want to see this but I feel like they might be too young (8 and 6.5). Thoughts?

I think they're both too young. There are some parts that I think might be too scary for young kids, unless they've already seen movies like this and were okay I wouldn't bring them. It is rated PG-13 for good reason.

Agreed, the final sequence was great. I never thought I could get that emotional over a velociraptor (I would watch a whole movie about Owen and his raptors). Loved how they brought the T.rex in, too. groovethang, it might depend on the kids. My friend and I took her 8-year-old daughter and she did just fine, but she doesn't scare easily. But there are definitely some parts that could be traumatizing for young viewers, including a particularly gruesome death scene that involves {Spoiler}pteranodons tossing a woman back and forth in the air, in and out of the ocean, and then a mosasaurus jumping out of the water and eating her. And of course there are plenty of the standard dinosaur-chomping-people scenes that are in every JP movie.
