On a completely irrelevant note, her show “So Notorious” was hilarious and I think she probably has a really good sense of humor. Hence one of the reasons I have a soft spot for her. A fantastic show gone too early. And it co-starred Zachary Quito! Who dated one of our own Greecies back in the day. Wait, what?!? How did I miss this piece of Greecie history?

It was before your time, when So Notorious was a big deal. Only 10 shows. And it was really funny! I fell in love with Zachary Quinta from that show.

I’m going to bet she’s set up some kind of strict trust. I assume Randy and Tori will be included but the bulk will go to the grandchildren. I’m not sure how Randy is with money but Tori will probably need a lot of stipulations regarding the distributions for her. There will probably be a professional trustee who handles everything. In all this time since her dad’s passing, I’m surprised Tori has never figured out how to manage money better. Even if it’s just hiring someone to help do it for her. On a completely irrelevant note, her show “So Notorious” was hilarious and I think she probably has a really good sense of humor. Hence one of the reasons I have a soft spot for her. Randy is living up in Portland working as a life coach. He's out of the Hollywood lifestyle and seems to be doing OK. He said in a recent interview that he felt a lot of pressure to succeed in entertainment as Aaron Spelling's son, but that when he went to rehab he realized it wasn't the right path for him and went off to do something different. At any rate, he hasn't filed for bankruptcy or done anything public where money is concerned. I don't want to seem like I'm defending Tori, but she's talked about how she was never really taught about money management. I can believe that. I grew up working class, and my parents didn't have many issues, but they never taught me about money management. I learned through lots of trial and error. I'm sure Tori's parents expected that she'd keep working or find a wealthy guy to support her, but neither really panned out. What she should have done, really early on with her kind of money, was hire a business manager or accountant. The person could have helped her invest early. Maybe she would have been able to live off the interest? 🤷🏻♀️

It's been 15 years since Aaron Spelling died and Tori's money problems crystallized. She's had plenty of time at this point to learn/find someone to teach her how to budget and invest her money. She's understood the problem for a long time and has continued to spend compulsively.
Budgeting is not that hard. I bet you she's a goddam financial genius when it comes to obtaining credit, evading collectors, and wriggling out of her debts.

It's their primary job to teach their kids how life works. Beyond that Tori's responsible for where her life is now. Also I think her mom pays for her kids' schooling, and I'm assuming most of Aaron's estate will be evenly divided among the grandkids.

I agree, there are probably trust funds set up for them when they turn 25 or whatever age.

I agree that her parents messed up and I always sympathized with her about that, but I think it stopped being relevant a good 10 or more years ago.

I'm guessing that she simply assumed she could spend as much as she wanted and anything they said went in one ear and out the other.

Also, Tori herself is now a parent to many children, so it's now her job to teach them how life works. The excuse that her parents never taught her doesn't cut it, especially since she doesn't have the luxury of extreme wealth. She needs to figure her shit out or her kids are going to wind up in the same boat. They may inherit a ton from Candy's estate, but if they don't learn how to manage money, they're going to blow through it and be just like her.
