I'm hoping Patrick Fabian gets to stay in the cast. I'm just not sure how much more story they're going to have for Howard if Chuck really is no longer going to be at HHM. Or if there will even be an HHM next season.

But no one ever said watching him morph into Saul was going to be fun. I know, yikes! I mean, we all knew Jimmy would eventually turn into Saul. But who saw him becoming the Mall Walking Regina George in between? That was brutal! Part of me still admires detailed lengths Jimmy-Saul (Regina) will go to to pull off his schemes. But this was the first time the target was utterly undeserving of his malicious machinations. Brutal. I sobbed for the poor old lady. I shed many tears for Nacho as well and now know how to say "Get out of my house!" in Spanish. :-(! And Kim! Poor Kim! Get yourself a decent paralegal, girl and a way better partner. Jimmy's already tried on Saul Goodman's pinky ring and Regina George's prom dress. Dump his undeserving ass (And can you imagine if he'd talked her into taking a tequila shot on top of everything else! *shudder*) I so loved most of the characters on Breaking Bad- even the evil ones. But I hated Lydia (her and Todd). On BCS so far she's pretty harmless. Not likeable by any means. But much less destructive at the moment. Chuck the litigious f... err, duck! He really is every bad lawyer joke rolled into one, isn't he. I'd like to cheer on his mental recovery progress, but his personality is unfixable. Blue Pan. Red Wine. Douche Bag! Is this really the next to last episode? Bummer!

Yeah, that was a weeeeird exchange she had with Mike. "A drug dealer. If that's all you think he is, you don't know Gustavo Fring." I can't tell if she was praising Gus's business acumen, or snidely suggesting he was serving a higher purpose than, you know, slinging meth on a grand scale.

That bingo scheme was so cruel. Good to see cliques continue even into old age. I'm hoping all or at least most of the disparate plot threads will get tied together next week somehow. I'm guessing we are not going to see Gene again this season. Last we saw him he was having a heart attack. Someone asked the creator how next week's episode would work as a series finale if BCS is not renewed* and he just said it would be provocative. I get the impression a lot happens but it also ends on a cliffhanger. * they sound really confident that it is going to be renewed so it is very unlikely to be the last episode.

I know Saul helped in the commission of murders, but what he did in last night's episode was the most disgusting thing he's ever done. That poor lady. The irony of course is that given the ages of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit a speedier settlement was actually in their interests.
Seconding the love for Howard. I hope he gets to continue to have a part to play with or without Chuck.

Watching him crush a harmless senior citizen was right up there with the most disgusting things Saul has done. But to me, his worst action was having Huell steal Jesse's ricin-poisoned cigarette, which was part of what helped Walt poison a six-year-old kid with Lily of the Valley and also would have delayed the child's doctors' ability to administer a course of treatment after the LoV was ingested--because of the ricin scare Walt and Saul cooked up. I was kind of hoping Saul would bite the dust after that plot development.

I didn't watch it during its initial run but I binged it on Netflix over a couple weeks. I loved it, but the unfortunate side effect is that a lot of plot points didn't stick with me long term. Thankfully, I did remember enough to be delighted when Gus appeared on BCS.

I re-binge watched BB not too long ago. I know Saul had Huell snatch Jesse's cigarettes (and I think replace them with a non ricin carrying pack- Huell's talented that way) But when he gave the ricin back to Walt, Saul seemed pretty disgusted that a kid had wound up in the hospital. So I don't think he knew Walt's plans for it at the time he initially helped steal it.
That said, he was constantly counseling his clients to send their enemies or even anyone in their way "to Belize". So by the time of BB, Saul was definitely a-ok with orchestrating any collateral damage that comes with the territory of the drug business. But he at least had enough humanity left in his soul to be opposed to child endangerment. Walt and Gus sure didn't at that point in their lives.
The Mean Girl-ing of Irene is the worst thing we the audience have ever seen Jimmy/Saul so far at this point on the time line of his narrative. This is the first time we've witnessed him intentionally meaning to cause harm to someone who didn't deserve it. I mean, heck, I'm sure he could have gotten Irene to settle just by bringing her a few more cat shaped cookies and using peanuts to illustrate the reality of the payout the way he did with the other ladies- but he chose to screw up her life instead.
Before, he at least felt some remorse if his actions caused anyone harm. He took the skater twins to the hospital and paid for their bill. He apologized to Cliff for his shenanigans. He even felt bad for Chuck at first! But after demolishing an old lady's social network (her sole means of emotional support at this stage in her life), he bought himself the good tequila.
If Saul is Walt-lite, this throwing of Irene to the track-pants wearing wolves might be his "Jane" moment. That point of no return which seals his fate as a complete scum bag. But then there is apparently some sort of dealings with "Ignacio" in his future. So we may see even worse from Jimmy before he turns all the way Saul.

Ignacio is a fairly common name among Hispanic men, so I'm not counting on the Nacho from BCS and the Ignacio mentioned on BB being the same person.
