Well, in some podcasts from the show makers I've listened to, they have said that it is the same Ignacio... But it would be a great twist if they were fibbing and Jimmy runs into a whole new character.
I've also heard some speculation that the "Lalo" Saul mentions when he says "Lalo didn't send you?" is Don Eladio. I'm not sure Lalo would be the right nickname for Eladio- but Lalo could be an associate or even relative of Don Eladio (Like, say he has a nephew also named Eladio and everyone calls the younger man Lalo for short)

I just have to throw in a "poor Kim" comment here. I have been having flashbacks to her accident--and driving extra carefully IRL--some of the lacerations were on her face.

I am just dying to know what happens to Kim. As far as I recall, there is zero mention of her in Breaking Bad. So what happens?! She's not some naive kitten when it comes to Jimmy either - so what does he do that's bad enough to drive her away forever?

Ouch. To me, the most painful part of the finale was Howard paying Chuck off out of his own pocket. I thought that said a lot about just how awful Chuck had become (and therefore how big of a liability to everyone around him.)
Watching Michael McKean tear apart that house was pretty intense, though. And while I was pretty sure the title ("Lantern") alluded to those damn gas lanterns, I didn't see it as an allusion to Chuck doing himself in. I think he just didn't want to live in that condition anymore.

Even though Chuck was a bastard Michael McKean is such a good actor that I am sorry to see him go. Jimmy was spending so much time trying to make amends with everyone I just knew something bad was going to happen. I kind of thought Chuck might burn his house down since the episode was called Lantern but I wasn't expecting suicide. Something tells me Jimmy is going to take Chuck's almost last words to heart about not having any regrets about hurting people.
I do hope they find a way to keep Howard around too. He's an interesting character. Not really likeable but not really a bad guy either. He always seems a step behind everyone else so it was nice to see him finally get the drop on Chuck.
So this season Jimmy's relationship with his brother was obliterated and he ruined his practice in elder law. The only thing that is holding him in place now is his relationship with Kim. So I expect next season will be about that imploding. They better not kill her off too. I am much more interested in seeing them split then her becoming another tragic figure on the way to Jimmy becoming Saul.

Something tells me Jimmy is going to take Chuck's almost last words to heart about not having any regrets about hurting people. I think the last thing Jimmy will remember was his brother telling him that Jimmy had never been that important to him. Incidentally, one way I read that line was that Chuck had already decided (on some level) to off himself, and wanted Jimmy to go away and leave him to his self-immolation. I am still haunted by the image of Chuck digging into his walls. The Yellow Wallpaper, anyone?

Michael McKean and Bob Odenkirk should both get Emmys for this season, for their final scene together alone.
I think something did click in Chuck's mind after his last conversation with Jimmy, it wasn't until after that happened that he went on his final downward spiral. I think he said what he said to Jimmy really just to hurt him and wasn't intending to kill himself at that moment. How I see it happening is that later that night, he realized that Jimmy was right and that he would die alone and it was all just too much.
I also realized that Chuck didn't know that it was Jimmy that put the insurance people onto him, which ultimately cost him his job. Maybe Jimmy will blame himself for what happened to Chuck and realize that he was right about him always hurting people. Part of me hopes that if Kim doesn't break it off with Jimmy that Jimmy will do it himself, to prevent himself from hurting her because he does truly care about her.

Michael McKean should get all the Emmys (Except for the ones that should have gone to Jonathan Banks the previous two seasons) McKean is a lovable guy so it's a testament to his talent that I despise Chuck so much that watching his downfall and demise didn't move me one bit. All I kept thinking is that if he hadn't put so much energy into shitting on all his friends and family, he would have someone there to talk him down from his witchhunt against the electrical meter. And after his few pathetic kicks at the lantern I was thinking 'Good gravy, man. Even your suicide attempt is tedious!' On the flip side of that, my anxiety levels sky rocket every time Nacho is on screen. I nearly went into a panic when Hector spotted 'Papi' and was yelling 'No, stay away from him!' at the screen. I was so happy when Hector finally stroked out and Nacho managed to scoop up the pills in the chaos. I'm assuming he was able to pull the switcheroo at some point before handing the bottle to the EMTs. I was just blissing out after that thinking all is right with the world for now! Nacho is safe for the time being. Papi is safe for the time being. Gus is riding the chicken train to greatness. And the bell will toll for Hector... or at least ding for Hector. Oh wait, there's Chuck drama? Meh, screw Chuck. I even had to applaud Howard a bit for finally standing up to Chuck's bully boy ways and calling his bluff. And hey, they didn't put anything in writing to my knowledge, so Howard might get his $3 million back. Unless that money would now go to Jimmy or however that works. I found myself disappointed in Kim. On the one hand, I'm glad she finally gave up her need to be Super!Lawyer. But on the other hand, her NDE didn't lead her to ditch Jimmy. I doubt Atticus Finch would approve of destroying an old lady's social standing to win a settlement. She needs to get back to her roots and find herself a man with more noble leanings in his law practice. Better luck next season, Kim. (And here's hoping her involvement with Jimmy doesn't cost her anymore than her dignity) P.S. There are several Los Pollos Hermanos "training videos" floating around on YouTube and probably AMC's home site. But This one is my favorite!. So meta! And Gus saves Jane!

There's a really nice Fresh Air interview with Giancarlo Esposito that aired last week, I think. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so interesting to hear him talking in a normal accent and with no traces of Gus. He's had an interesting life.
