This is his Hannibal Burress moment. When someone is so comfortable that they're willing to put their reputation on the line calling this out, I tend to believe it.

I liked him on Parks and Rec, so I tried his show. I remember not liking it all because of a strong feeling that he was misogynistic. I never watched his show again.

I like a lot of his stand-up and parts of his show were okay. It must be bad if Tig is turning on him. And what a weird sexual act to commit multiple times with witnesses who have access to microphones! Like they're not going to talk about it?

I would guess the potential for getting caught, shamed, humiliated, etc. is probably part of the thrill.
I'm disappointed--he seemed different as a comic, like he wasn't cut from the same rant-mold as a lot of his other cohort, but whatever.

This rumor has been swirling, as we know, and it's not that I DIDN'T believe it before ... I just didn't know what to think. But I definitely don't think Tig would spread unsubstantiated rumors. I'm MEGA disappointed. I know it's weird (but I also know my fellow weirdos can relate), but I've been a HUGE fan and following his career for so long that I feel like we're kind of friends. I have a 20-year old treasured email exchange with him from wayyyy back when he was recording his own shows and selling the CDs out of the trunk of his car. If you're an asshole, fine, I guess. But don't present yourself as a feminist at the same time.

Not weird! I've seen him live a few times and think he's great. Things must have really soured between him and Tig, I still remember his praise of her stand up, I feel like he really helped put her on the map.
He still works really closely with Pamela Adlon who doesn't seem like she would be cool with these allegations. Interested to see what happens.

I love Pamela Adlon, but if she continues to stay silent on this I'm going to have to seriously side-eye her. And I'm considering canceling my series recording of Better Things.

Darn. I thought I heard somewhere that it wasn't him after all. I had heard Jen Kirkman came out and said it was actually Doug Stanhope that she was talking about. Also heard he came out and confirmed it. I also heard this all 3rd hand at best. The rumours have been swirling for awhile about Louis. I hope they aren't true. I love some of his standup- and his show was quite brilliant.

I'm not really familiar with Doug Stanhope, but that whole thing about him coming out and saying that was him never seemed to fit what Kirkman initially said. Maybe Kirkman was exaggerating, but what she said definitely seemed to fit Louis CK better, imo. Did Jen Kirkman out Louis CK?I know of Stanhope, but I would definitely not think he's even close to reaching Cosby level whereas I think Louis CK has. Now when I google Stanhope, he is lauded for his stand up work, so I guess the genius part could work, but for me, Louis CK would fit it better because he's an Emmy darling, and he's been hailed by so many other famous comedians for his work that I think it's easier to accept that the genius label for him. Plus, I don't know that Stanhope has enough power like Louis CK does to ruin someone's career.
