I'm a big Marc Maron fan and I know he's good friends with Louis. I'm a little nervous about listening to his next podcast (which I'll be sure to listen to because I'd be surprised if he didn't address it) because if he doesn't have the right response to this, it'll ruin him for me. Michael Ian Black tweeted, "For everybody asking, I know and like Louis C.K. I won't defend him. This is inexcusable and he needs to address it." This is pretty much the only kind of response that is ok to me. People are complicated. You can be a nice, likeable person and do horrible things. But it's not ok to condone the behavior because you like the person.
I'm really curious to see what the fallout from this will be.

I'm curious to see what, if anything, Pamela Adlon will say. He's an exec producer on her show and has co-written a few episodes plus she's a regular on his show. I used to think she was so cool but if she remains silent on this...I don't know what to think of her.

He is credited as a co-creator of Better Things. She is also in I Love You Daddy. I read an interview with the two of them a while ago about his movie and they sound really tight. On one hand I don't think she should go down for his actions. On the other hand she was a close collaborator. There is no way she didn't know about the rumors. I would hope he gets kicked off her show at the very least.
To me this was the worst part of the article.
Like what, he did that to so many women he couldn't keep it straight what exactly he did to which one!?

Yeah. That's the most problematic to me, too. Some woman who was shoved into a bathroom (meaning, he put his hands on her...) is out there, waiting to tell her story.
The stuff in this article is creepy and totally work inappropriate. He should lose his job for that. But... if he physically touched a woman who said no and backed her into any confined space, that's got assault written all over it.

I was just thinking about Maron, although I was also somewhat wondering if he was going to be the next one. If he's not, he definitely has the platform to reach a lot of people who are otherwise unaffected by this (...sweeps hand across the internet).

For some reason, this strikes me a super aberrant. I mean it's not "worse" than the men raping or touching without consent ... But it's so obviously unacceptable (not a part of any normal acceptable flirtation, no "I thought she was into it", just plain gross).
Of all the predators claiming they need "rehab", he may seriously need some kind of help. That said, I really hope that element doesn't dominate the conversation. He might've needed help; he could have gotten it somewhere over the past 20 years instead of harming women.

I always liked Louis CK, and I find most of his stand-ups hilarious. This makes me sad.
I keep thinking of one of the better-known bits from his show - when a female character told him "no" and was disappointed when he didn't insist. "So, I should have raped you on the off-chance that you were INTO it?"
