Robin is skeevy as hell. Paula hasn't accused him of anything yet that I didn't already think was true. (Except the child abuse part. I didn't see that coming). I hope she gets full custody and Julian can live a happy, safe life.

People outlines every violent incident Paula is alleging, and there is nothing outrageous or implausible there. He was a raging cokehead. Raging cokeheads are not even-tempered.

The article I linked to said nothing about Robin possibly abusing his son, it only mentioned Paula's accusations that Robin abused her several years ago and cheated on her. I reread some of Robin's thread & it seemed to be an accepted truth that they had an open marriage and both of them had substance abuse issues, so if he was a skeevy slut during their marriage, she was publically okay with it for a long time and isn't a valid complaint in my opinion.

However, the child abuse investigation is different. If Robin is harshly punishing Julian to the point the child is afraid of him, everything possible needs to be done to keep him safe.

I'm not surprised at these coming out later - She may have been hoping to have a quiet, civil divorce and to that end opted to keep things quiet as it was ending, but with the issues with their child, she felt it necessary to bring it up.

I have found that a lot of famous women married to famous men who cheat are accused of "looking the other way" or "having an open marriage" and I think it's unfair. It's a way of absolving the man and shifting the blame over to the woman - often implying that she has ulterior motives for being married to him, and therefore does not deserve a faithful husband. Just something I've noticed.

I don't think it's an accurate assumption to make that if a woman does not automatically and immediately leave her husband when he cheats then she must be ok with it. But either way, Robin's flagrant public cheating happened after Blurred Lines and *was* followed pretty closely by Paula leaving him and not looking back.

There was a lot of gossip that they had threesomes during their marriage. If true, that could have been something Paula was only reluctantly agreeing to. And if she did agree to threesomes, that doesn't mean he had carte blanche to sleep with any woman he wanted. My understanding is that most couples who do that still have rules between them that they are not supposed to violate. I have no problem believing that Robin secretly having sex with another woman in the next room when he and Paula were supposed to be having a romantic Valentine's Day together was an act of infidelity that hurt her.

As for the substance abuse, I do think they both have substance issues. Paula was definitely stoned out of her gourd on a lot of red carpets when they were married. I haven't seen her looking that way since the divorce (although I haven't been monitoring the situation) but Robin is pointing out that she refuses to take a drug test. So Paula's probably still getting friendly with her bong, but so what? In terms of Robin responding to the accusation that he routinely loses his temper and has beat his child inappropriately, it's not a defense. It's a non-sequitur.

Maybe he'll pull one out of a hat, but I think if Robin had anything to fire back at Paula about her being an unfit mother due to her drug use, he would have done so. I think he thinks he's got one up on her because he switched from cocaine to booze and therefore can technically pass a drug test while she can't.

Yeah, what a shocker.

I think they only got back together in the first place to milk some more PR out of their marriage, but I didn't buy any of it (including what I believe was a fake pregnancy and fake miscarriage).
