I thought the premiere was pretty uneven (a little too confusing to be really good, the whole reason Charlotte and Bernard are trapped is so, so dumb, and what exactly is Maeve's plan?), but I liked the first season a lot and will stick it out. I'm interested to see how they get from the premiere to Samurai World (from the season trailer it looks like they do in fact get there).

I wasn't expecting the ending on the last episode...

Last night's episode (#4) was so, so good. I only wish the Man in Black parts weren't part of the episode. That storyline is the only drag on a stellar season so far. This episode was really a standout. As a Lost fan, you could definitely see the director pulled heavily from that influence. The first 5 minutes was a beautiful homage. Also, the man playing James Delos was amazing last night. And young/old William was also great in those scenes. And Bernard!! Wow. How control is he actually? I wasn't surprised Elsie was still alive, but boy is she ever (still) dumb. And I guess the theories that she was controlling Ghost Nation is out. So who is controlling them, and having them saving the humans? I was disappointed we didn't see Maeve this week, but next week looks like be all about her in Shogun world! Yes!

The director of the last episode said she’s never watched the Lost episode so all of that was coincidence. I had to read quite a few articles about #4 because the episode was so good.
Hate to admit this but I think i enjoyed the ep because there wasn’t any Dolores. I haven’t really been enjoying her storyline.

The director of the last episode said she’s never watched the Lost episode so all of that was coincidence. Nope. I'm not buying that. That was almost a shot by shot recreation of the Desmond reveal. Even if she didn't watch Lost, someone on Team Westworld did. There's not that much coincidence in the world.

And this show is produced by JJ Abrams, correct? I can't stand Ed Harris's character. I just tune out his scenes. Mr. Ladybug guessed that the girl from Colonial India world was his daughter. I missed Maeve too.

I think part of it is that Dolores has gotten the majority of the "completely meaningless but here's some fake depth for the reddit mystery-solving crowd" lines. I thought the woman being Ed Harris's daughter was pretty well foreshadowed. And it is a relief that the kind of stupidity that leads to people wanting to stay in the park appears to be confined to one family.

So it’s now going to be who kills each other first—daughter, William, or Dolores? Why would daughter want to stay in park knowing she’ll see her dad. Do I even care, really? I’m really not sure who I should be rooting for anymore. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind more Logan.

Shogun World was a bit surprising. True to season two we learned some interesting things, but wound up with really weird questions about time frames and the endgame.
I'm enjoying it more then season one, but I'm confused as hell!

Argh! Enough with the cliffhangers! I was so caught up in the scene and BAM black screen! I loved the Shogun world stuff, and booed at the Dolores/Wyatt/Teddy stuff. I wouldn't mind if they back-burnered all that jazz until season 3. Give me more Bernarnold, Maeve/Hector, and flashback William/Logan. I hate watching shows week to week.
