For those who didn't read the book, who do you think gets killed? I'm thinking Celeste, but could be wrong. I don't think it's Reese's character. But again, could be wrong.

My bet is on one of the husbands. Someone kills Perry - be it Jane for what he did to her or Celeste...for what he did to her. Or Maddy's current husband kills her ex-husband or vice versa. For some reason, I can't picture any of the ladies dying. Except for maybe Renata (but weirdly I can't picture Maddy killing her). I can't picture Maddy as the killer in any scenario - I see her as the person who will come to the killer's defense and really go to bat for them. I can see that happening in a Jane or Celeste kills Perry scenario, or her current hubby killing her ex (but not the other way around), or someone killing Renata (not because she believes that Renata deserves it, per se, but that she could understand how it came about). I could see Jane or Celeste killing Perry. I can't see Renata killing anyone. Renata is only my dark horse victim. I think she has the least chance of dying out of my list of potential victims. I absolutely think one of the husbands will be the one who dies. The story seems to be about the ladies, and it feels like all their stories will be part of the aftermath. I think there is a clue in the description of the injuries. I think there was a skull fracture and then broken bones like a broken pelvis. I think the cops at the scene made it sound like there was a balcony/terrace involved. So it sounds like the victim was clocked over the head (the skull fracture) and fell/was pushed off the balcony. If Perry gets in a scuffle with Celeste or Jane I could see that happen, same with Maddy's husbands if they got in a fight. Maddy's husband was eyeing his stepdaughter in a worrisome way in the last episode. That would be trigger point for Maddy. I'm so split on this - I've seen people comment on it, but I didn't really notice. Then again, Adam Scott always seems like a perv/creeper to me so maybe I didn't notice because it didn't seem out of the ordinary for me. I have no idea what Adam Scott is like off-screen, but he usually creeps me out on screen. That's why I thought he was perfect as the teacher having an affair with a student on Veronica Mars and as a demon in The Good Place.

[OT] I just looked it up and Zoe Kravitz is 28! I feel old...I remember when she was born! Hand me my cane. [/OT] I laughed at the scene of the police station interview where one of the moms was talking about Bonnie's dancing at the birthday party: "There were erections!" ETA: Hello, beautiful family!

Adam scott was looking at the step daughter weird - it took me a minute to figure out who he was looking at (because I thought it must be a colleague or someone else, not the daughter). Maybe the "problem" at home wasn't mom after all, but step-dad-hipster-beard macking on her.
ETA The saddest part is I've actually read this book but have zero recollection of anything in it, except suburban wealth and bored women. So I really shouldn't be reduced to speculation like this! I bet it won't even be familiar when I watch the finale - I'll still have no memory of the book.

Prisma, I had to laugh when I opened up the pic of the Bonet-Kravitzes. The family is ridiculously good-looking of Zoolander proportions. Zoe now looks like her mom. What a beautiful family.
At first I thought Adam Scott was looking at his stepdaughter a little funny, but then as they talked I thought he was just assessing her mood plus what she knew about his confrontation with her bland dad. It seems like he had to play referee a lot in the home, so I don't think he was perving. It initially struck me, too!

LOL, I remember the big notes (who gets killed, who did it, a few other things), but some of the scenes I'm pretty sure were not in the book (the therapy session with Celeste and Perry). My Mom keeps floating theories at me (she hasn't read it) and I'm just keeping my mouth shut because I don't want to give anything away.

He and Zoe seemed to have a very sweet relationship, and I loved the idea of him going to an interview with her and hanging out backstage.

I had to look up the clip and it made me want to squeal a little bit! I like that Zoe and Lenny have a cool relationship (and also that Lisa Bonet and Lenny seem to have a really comfortable relationship as well). I'm really excited for this week's episode. I am now used to binge watching everything so this waiting for a week to get the next episode is killing me.

Yeah, Zoe Kravitz never had a chance to be ugly with those genes, but she also seems to have gotten the very best of both parents on top of it. Casting wise though, she might be my least favorite of the cast in terms of the book. Bonnie in the book was practically a saint and I'm not getting that from Zoe's performance. I also noticed that weird moment between Adam Scott and the older daughter, but I don't think it was intentional, unless they're adding stuff to the story.
