Thanks asking; we are fine. We are lucky that we're in Kirkwood and don't have to cross rivers in our daily routine. My brother has had to take days off of work because of closed highways, but I think he is going to stay with me tonight so he can get to work in less than like, 2 hours (a commute that normally takes 30 minutes).

I really wanted to mow the lawn last night after work, but it looked like rain and I didn't want to be out there with a metal mower if it started lightening. It rained overnight, and now it is snowing, big, fluffy snow flakes. I don't think I'll be mowing the lawn tonight either. I don't think the snow is going to stick, but who the hell knows what the weather is going to do anymore?

After almost two weeks of dry sunny days this week is downpour central/business as usual, methinks the Irish summer has passed until maybe some random few days in late July!

My best friend just returned from Ireland and she was talking about the unseasonably sunny weather and how the locals were marveling at all the sunshine.

Must be May--the annual "looks like the University of Texas commencement ceremony at the Tower may be postponed until tomorrow/cancelled altogether" press releases are flying through the interwebz amidst major thunderstorms and very dark skies...

My power has gone 5times today (gone at the mo) for about an hour at a time. I'm wondering if its due to a bit of a heatwave* the last few days. I put a couple of bottles of white wine in the freezer so I'm drinking a bit of very chilled vino by candlelight window open listening to a bit Bowie on my ipod, irish summer for now is rather nice. I expect I've jinxed it completely thunderous downpours probably happen tmrw!
*27/28 degrees centigrade=fitz be melty sweaty mess/heatwave Ireland style😁

Well I'm on the Gulf Coast and hurricane season has begun. Tropical Storm Cindy is in the Gulf and the whole coast will be under flood watches and warnings for the next few days. Not supposed to bring a lot of wind though. Thank goodness.
