I live in New England so it's all just weather to me. We'll have 70 degrees and sunny, 40 degrees and rainy, 20 degrees with a sub-zero windchill, and 30s with a blizzard dumping a foot of snow in the space of one week. It snowed the day before my brother graduated from college. In mid-May. At the commencement ceremony (which was in an open-air stadium) everyone was wearing winter coats, hats, and gloves because it was so cold.

Finally. A beautiful day that coincides with a day that I can enjoy it. It's a bit windy, but otherwise perfect. Took a walk around a lake at a park. Housemate mowed the lawn and we discovered a robin's nest on our patio lighting fixture. Spring has most definitely sprung.

This is cool: a real-time map of lightning and thunder around the world. I found it yesterday just after a storm system swept over our house. I would have been interested in comparing their data to what I experienced. ETA: pull down the 'dynamic size' map from the drop down menu and you can zoom in on an area.

We are in the midst of a huge storm right now! I'm on the map!!!

Yesterday, we had heat indexes of 98 at the airport and 97 at the midtown National Guard base. Humidity was off the charts.
Then a cold front blew through without a drop of the promised rain, but dropping the temps down 25 degrees.
Today's predicted high--78.
Go home, Texas weather--you're drunk. Even for Texas.

IT IS NEVER GOING TO STOP RAINING HERE!!! (St. Louis) I thought of you when I saw the weather map this morning, with rain expected to cover St Louis again all day today. With any luck, the rain will stop before caskets start floating down the river like in '93 (I think that was the year).

IT IS NEVER GOING TO STOP RAINING HERE!!! (St. Louis) Are you ok in your area? My mom texted me to ask about my in-laws (Ballwin) and I had no idea.
