By request, talk about all things atmospheric, barometric and other weather phenomena here.

I'm glad we have this thread. There are sure to be more floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes (oh my!) in our near future.
We are looking at a snowstorm forecast for Tuesday night. As of this moment, they are saying between 10 and 16 inches. If we get a late-breaking snow day ... Ah, I cannot tell you how happy that would make me.

On Sunday, I had to wear my heavy-duty cold weather coat. On Wednesdsay, all I needed was a fleece jacket. Today it's back to the heavy coat.
March in New England, you are never boring.

I am such a weather junkie. Who here has the Dark Sky app? It is not as accurate as I had hoped.

I live in Richmond Virginia, USA. Our weather has been so very bizarre and disconcerting. The first half of January we had 70 degree weather, then a dramatic change and 6-8 inches of snow on a Friday that melted by Wednesday/Thursday because it went back to 70 degrees. I never know if I should wear a jacket on a given day, it could be 20 degrees or 70, and this weekend we're due for snow but all the flowers and trees have bloomed already - a good month or more ahead of schedule . WTF is this - is this our new reality? Can ANYONE seriously doubt global warming at this point? Please educate me if I am far off, I want to know...

We've got a problem up here in New England with farmers and plant growers, a lot of things that started growing/blooming when it was warm either died last weekend in the epic cold or will die this weekend in the epic cold.
