Holding my breath till 9pm waiting for the results to start rolling in... Aaaaaarrrrgh. I am so, so upset. This is not going to end well for Ontario. I am in a historically PC riding, so I wasn't expecting a change, but ouch. At least I am close to Guelph. Way to go Green Party! On a bright note, my nephew voted in his first election. I dragged him to the polls and got him registered. |

15 minutes after the polls closed and Ford is declared the winner. 4 minutes later and the PCs get the majority. Unreal. We are so screwed.

New Zealand's badass Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had a baby girl. She's the second world leader to give birth while in office, Benazir Bhutto being the first in 1990. She's going to take six weeks of maternity leave with the Deputy PM running the show. Rock on, Jacinda and baby girl. |

I love that it's New Zealand, too, where all the rich people are planning to go when the world ends or whatever they're planning for. So the new Eden is led by a new mom - yeah!
