He is the charmer who want people inspected at the border like in The Troubles.... Well, the Irish should really know their place, fitz. I can't imagine Jacob Rees-Mogg doesn't hold ideas about the Irish that would have been seen as backwards at the turn of the century. There needs to be a rule- anyone who names their child Sixtus is unfit to hold public office. Americans go to sleep and it all kicks off in the UK. I am no fan of Theresa May, but it seems like she's being held responsible by the Brexshiteers for the fact that what they want is nebulous and impossible.

OK he Rees Mogg is saying he is not offering his name forward as leader of the Tory Party recommends Boris, Dominic, David Davis, pretty much any of those who resigned today and earlier. It wouldn't be the first time someone says I'm not putting myself forward and then puts themselves forward. Seriously I can't look away. Its Mad Ted. Theresa May is being held responsible for David Cameron's actions or lack there of. Someone somewhere likened Cameron to a Driver who slamms on his breaks causes a massive pile up drives off and see the news later and says I was nearly caught up in that! The only reliable source of interesting info is Larry @number10cat he has been around longer than most.

Talk about direct from Central Casting. I remember the first time I saw him years ago and couldn't believe he wasn't a comedian playing an awful character, particularly as he was on a panel show with other comedians. Nope. He's real. Listening to him during the lead-up to the Brexit vote was particularly awful. Christ on a cracker, the names on his Wikipedia page read like an early draft of a Wodehouse novel. Also, six children in 11 years: Peter Theodore Alphege Mary Anne Charlotte Emma Thomas Wentworth Somerset Dunstan Anselm Charles Fitzwilliam Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher Also, his late father in law: Somerset de Chair. I love the idea of incorporating "May your novels be largely neglected," as a curse, sort of like, "the book of my enemy has been remaindered." I like old houses and old cars, too, but holy shit Rees Mogg is Lord Tool of the entire peerage of Toolboxes. Yes, but one of those novels is "Friends, Romans, Concubines" so you have to give him props for that title alone.

Larry, 10 Downing Street Cat has caught a mouse you heard it here first I tell you.
Press Conference with Theresa May set to happen at 5pm GMT.
Have give Theresa some credit and maybe its turnip usual histrionics at press conferences has warped me but she's very calm and collected. Calmly not really answering any of the Qs just a lot of repetition. So Probably frantically paddling underneath the surface.

Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher Those two got it the worst. The others at least have one name that isn't too bad. I suppose Sixtus has Dominic and Christopher, but like anyone is going to let him forget Sixtus and Boniface. I assumed Rees Mogg was hardcore Church of England, so it seems strange to have so many pope names for his children.

That's precisely what I was thinking, but I didn't say it because what I don't know about CoE is literally everything except that one time I went to an Episcopal funeral. That aside, I do enjoy the exuberantly archaic names like Wulfric and Sixtus. Leyson is questionable because I don't know what it refers to, but I lurve the old pre-Norman names and really wish the Cambridges would have gotten on board.

Whoops! Must have missed that. Well, without knowing the politics of the writers on Father Brown, I do hope he shows up as a thinly veiled villain. Per his father's Wikipedia page, Rees Mogg's grandfather was Protestant but had an Irish American wife who was Catholic, so that's kind of interesting, in a boring way. I'll stash that in my stack of tedious facts for cocktail parties.

Trump, fucking over Britain one deal at a time. It still astounds me that the most pointed criticism of Trump comes from Republicans.
